THE BEST
I suffered from severe acne two years ago. It was terrible. Since then it has calmed down to next to nothing and now I am just left with the scarring. I just recently started using this and although I can't speak for how it affects my dark marks directly... this is a moisturizer that makes my skin feel hydrated all night until I wake up in the morning and apply a thinner layer again after my shower. It is better than other moisturizers I've used at x3 the price so I do recommend this to anyone. It does not break my out, it is odorless (to me), natural and applicable to more than just your skin (hair too).Update:By far my favorite oil. I'm ordering coconut oil next to try out, but this one is still the best natural oil that I've tried. I recently had a really bad breakout and started using this 10% Benzoyl Peroxide Panoxyl bar to get rid of it, I used it for four days straight and it dried my skin out so bad that when I smiled I looked like I was fifty years old (I'm 19). It freaked me out and I could not go out in public for the next two days. The skin all over my face got super flaky and it looked as if it was burned around my mouth due to redness. (Nothing against Panoxyl because I do think it works, I just used it too intensely with a harsh exfoliating scrub.) Low and behold I had some of this emu oil left to save me from this trauma. It was the only moisturizer I had that soothed the dryness. It worked 20x better than olive oil, almond oil, honey and all my other branded products. I applied a generous layer on my face before bed and let it absorb for a moment before applying Aquaphor all over it to seal it in. It took only two days and nights of this before my skin was hydrated enough for me to be out in public again. Since this happened, I've been using it more regularly again... and I gotta say I look GOOD. Maybe it has to do with the unintentional face-peel I did... but I look so well-rested. After I try out coconut oil, I'll probably come back to this. I can't imagine something else working so well with my acne prone skin.Update 3 years later:Still the best oil. Better than almond and coconut. Great for hair. I bought a giant size and gave 4oz to the girls in my family for christmas. There's nothing else like it.

Works quick
Cleared up a dry scaly skin patch under my eye within a week. It's the perfect moisturizer.

Great For Your Hair
I have been applying this emu oil (3 to 4 drops) after styling to my almost waist length curly hair for about four months now and I love the results. My hair is healthy, vibrantly shiny, and split end free. I received multiple compliments on a daily basis and the only downside is that strangers keep wanting to touch my hair. Lol

It’s ok
This winter has hit hard on my dry sensitive skin, and after reading up on emu oil, I thought I’d give it a try.I tried it alone at first on my feet at night before bed- and it seemed to do about the same job as my regular moisturizer. It wasn’t overly greasy and did absorb quickly but no “wow” results. Then I decided to combine it with my regular moisturizer and this seemed to work better- it kept the dryness at bay for longer- but not to the extent I was hoping for. I tried this combo for about a week on my very dry hands, elbow and legs as well and found that it worked much better with my regular lotion than alone. I had to reapply less often, but not a lot less. Not a moisture lasts all day kind of thing. As another review mentioned- there is a scent- not a chemical scent and it isn’t unpleasant, just …distracting? You can tell it is an animal product- like clean rendered fat- which it is, really. This makes me not like using it on my hands, and I tend to want to wash them once I use it. That sort of defeats the purpose for me as my hands are my biggest problem area for dry skin. To be fair, I have a very sensitive nose, so it may not bother someone else at all.Overall, I am not sure if the emu oil is worth the hype, but if you don’t mind the mildly distracting smell, it is a good all-natural moisturizer that doesn’t contain any chemicals.Best I can say is that it does moisturize and seems to enhance my other lotions to an extent, but honestly I achieve much better and much longer lasting moisture in my skin (all day) using olive oil & fine sea salt in a scrub in the bath or shower before a light soap and rinse (even if it requires me to scrub out the shower or tub with a degreaser for safety afterwards).Since this is just as natural and less work than that, it may be for you. I will use this up, but probably won’t purchase again.
