They are top quality pieces that are sure to last for many years.Yes, this is technically one place setting for one single person. It specifically states (and shows in the photos) what you're receiving. The price is so high because 1. You're paying for the Kate Spade name, and 2. Because of their fine quality and excellent craftsmanship.A total of five pieces come in this professionally packaged box:· Large plate· Medium plate· Small plate· Tea/Coffee cup· Saucer plate for the cupThe plates and cup alike are a pure white with a shiny gold trim. Simple and classic. Elegant and stylish. You can easily match your existing decor with this place setting. I love the simplicity of it all!They are not that heavy which is a huge plus for me since I have two young girls at home. It's nice knowing that if something is accidentally dropped it won't shatter that easily.One thing that did bother me was the difficult to peel off price stickers on every single dish and the fact that someone had obviously written numbers on the bottom of each one. The marker did eventually come off when I scrubbed it with warm, soapy water, as did the stickers, but it was not something I expected to find on these fine, delicate dishes.The sparkling gold color makes these a great choice for holiday parties, such as: Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, etc.The price is admittedly quite steep but considering the name and the quality of the product, they're well worth it.

So, my fault, but when I requested this set, I didn't really take the time to read the whole description, I assumed that this was a full set of dishes, with 5 different pieces per place setting. It's not, it's one place setting. Which means you need to buy at least 4 of these for the typical family. At, $130/set, that's over $500 for a 4 place set.Now that being said, if you can afford them, these are very elegant, and they look like they are just as much as they are. The blue and gold rimming is a classic combination and will surely be in style for time to come. If I had a beach house, I could so see these in it.Overall, you get what you pay for and these won't let you down.

This is an absolutely stunning set. Kate Spade is a name I know I can trust for creating beautiful, well-made dinner sets and this one meets all of my expectations. The set is quite heavy and very durable. The simplistic design makes it perfect for any style or setting, and it's dishwasher safe. You can't go wrong with this set whether you keep it for yourself or give it as a gift. You won't be disappointed.

This place setting screams simple elegance. I’ve enjoyed many Kate Spade ♠️ items over the years, and this definitely lives up to her name. The quality of this set is on point. It’s arrived very well packaged in a pretty Kate Spade box. It’s very giftable, but I’ll be adding this to my KS♠️ Collection. The coffee cup for me is the crown jewel of the set. This is a 5 star set all the way!
