POWERTEC 15 Inch Planer Blades for Grizzly G0453, G1021 Planer, Replacement for G6701 Planer Knives, Set of 3

i own a Bridgewood 15" planer. These knives fit perfectly. I know that my planet is virtually identical to many Jet, Grizzly, and other Taiwanese 15" planers. I killed my first Grizzly brand knives after several hundred board feet of pallet boards. These seems to perform just as well for a great price.CH Wilke machinery in York PA offers a simple knife setting jig that is cheap and easy to use and is a must have for replacing these knives.

Whenever I buy planer or jointer blades I always get a kick out of the price range. So far, for me, both my 8" jointers (upgraded) took exactly the same blades. There's a standard size of 1/8" thick and I forget the width. I've been using Powertec in the jointer since 2012 and have no complaints. My big 15" planer was the same thing. I looked at the dimensions of these blades and it was obvious they'd work. I can't see any reason to spend twice the price on another brand when these things are probably exactly the same steel and edge.Speaking of edge, I examined these with the 20x loupe that I use in sharpening chisels and planes and these are ludicrously sharp!

I've used these blades a couple of times now to renew the cutting quality of my Grizzly planer They are a perfect fit and perform beautifully.

10x better than grizzly blades!!!These held up through 500+ board feet of cedar with only a few tiny, tiny nicks... handled 200+ board feet of red oak, then I accidently set a piece of Hickory through... I'll be ordering another set soon. The set I got was more than worth the money and only need replacement b/c I got in a hurry. Great product!
