Excellent flavor and extremely healthy source of protein
I regularly eat dal (dhal), and I finally came across Kulthi (Horse Gram), a lesser known lentil. To my own surprise, it may well be my favorite dal. I find the flavor very pleasant, and the various health benefits are convincing: it can break up calcification, prevent kidney stones, is full of antioxidants, good for the bones and heart.....among other benefits. I would put it into the category of super food. The only critique I have is that there was some tiny stone particles that could potentially harm one's teeth. Luckily, I noticed it before biting on it fully. I hope this stone particle experience was an exception. If my next bag also has them, I would have to rate it lower. Regardless, I will wash the next batch more carefully.

Delicious Lentils!
I loved these as soon as they arrived. They make a wonderful stew and are firmer than the typical brown lentils you’d get from the grocery store. I stumbled into these after reading an article on the web about how to cook different pulses using an instant pot. It was a good purchase and one I’m likely to do again. I would highly recommend them and the seller.

Good but full of stones
Pour these on a cookie sheet and check for stones! And even then you won't get them all. They are great when sprouted but it's nearly impossible to get the stones out. I ended up dumping them because you never knew when you were going to chomp down on a rock.

Sadhguru knows what he's talking about!
Sadhguru mentioned Horse Gram is a fantastically good and healthy way to stay well. He explained how to prepare this legume (it takes several days of soaking before cooking) and I prepared the gram as he described. Not only is it as good as Sadhguru described, but a little goes a long way. As someone who appreciates good healthy food as well as not spending a lot of money for a serving, I am terrifically pleased with what I purchased!! Thank you, TAJ!! Very well done!

Excellent sprouts and as a Dal
Soak for 2 days, drain and wrap in a damp paper towel. Season to taste. Delicious and hearty. Prepare as you wld any dal recipe.
