Love this product. It is perfect and fits my budgie cage exact. It's breathable, well made, give blackout coverage so my birds sleep well and easy to maintain and clean.

We got this cage cover because when we upgraded to a large flight cage, it was hard to cover it with just blankets as we had been the small night cage. It is slightly oversized for our cage, but we knew that when we ordered it. Its dimensions appear to match those in the item description. We also have 3 male budgies and 1 female, so we wanted to make sure that we could give them 12-14 hours of total darkness every night to prevent hormone spikes (basically keeping them in eternal winter). It works beautifully. We've had it for a few weeks now and already our female's cere has gone to a pale blue color rather than the crusty brown that it was previously which indicated breeding condition (I don't have any pictures of when it was crusty, but I did include a picture of when it was just brown vs a picture of now that it is pale blue). The velcro on the front is strong and easy to use. The velcro strips on the main part of the cover run continuously straight top to bottom. The velcro strips on the front panel have gaps between them all the way down, which makes it much more conducive to making the cover's front smooth when you close it and easy to open in the morning. It has sturdy construction and came with a beautiful bag to hold it in. It also has 2 handles on the top to make it easy to lift off the cage or reposition if need be. It is lightweight enough that it is easy to maneuver, but heavy enough that it doesn't blow around and stays nicely in position. I would absolutely recommend this if you are in the market for a cage cover of this size. It's an excellent product for an excellent price.

Face it, I could throw a blanket over the cage, but that's heavy and worry not enough air gets through. This fits my cage perfectly. Our conure loves being covered at night and this cover is perfect. Love being able to take a peak without uncovering him.

This cover is really pretty impressive. We cover our Cockatoo after his set bedtime, even when we are still up. He is a typical U2 that wants to destroy everything and so far, he has not managed to do any real damage to the cover, even though he pulls the corners into the cage regularly (stubborn toddler not wanting to go to bed!). He has not been able to chew any holes into the fabric after several weeks, which is an accomplishment! The only improvement I would suggest is to make the velcro closure strips solid, because parrots will very quickly figure out how to peek out of the openings between the velcro strips that hold the front flap in place when it is closed. That is the reason for the 4-star rating. (Pro tip: put the cover on backwards with the flap opening toward the wall). My bird generally settles down within minutes of being covered, even with people in the room. The cover is solid enough to resist being destroyed by a Cockatoo. I can work around the velcro being a bit lacking. 8.5/10 would recommend.

My budgie cage is right next to a window and my bedroom not far away, so I was being woken by the birds very early if I slept with my door open. This cover is perfect, it’s nice and dark, especially with the blind drawn on the window. It also means we won’t disturb the budgies once I’ve put the cover on at night.
