These Camshaft Retaining plates work Great on 3.6l GM engine. Was able to do Timing Chain replacement with these Camshaft Retaining Plates. These made the Job a whole lot easier.

Nice and handy. Reminder, a tool of this cost is definitely worth the investment to just toss in your toolbox. Whether you need it right now or not. But GM 3.6’s will always need phasers. Good investment.

Love them saves a lot of anxiety when replacing the timing chains on gmc 3.6 engines that are used in many different models.

The machine work finish was off just a little bit on the brackets that fit on the back of the camshafts. But I was able to make it work with some lite file work.

Had never heard of this tool, but it worked very well.

Not necessary to do the job but defiantly makes it easier and peace of mind to confirm correct timing. They where good fit seem to be nicely made at an affordable price,

This makes doing timing chains on the 3.6 GM engine so much easier. No need to do all that rotating the engine back an forth from the two positions. Just to the stage one position and install the cam holders, remove old chains, guides and tensioners then install the new ones... easy!!! I would highly recommend this kit as OMT has always done a great job, at least in my opinion.

They fit and work perfectly, locking the camshafts solid.

It doesn't fit like a glove after a new timing chain installed. Still a few mm aside. But it is not taking much to fit. But i know it is ok.
