Q: Does it work with batteries or doesitneed to be plug in?

It can work off both batteries and the USB power cable that it comes with.

Q: How do you set up the alarm? I have followed the instructions but nothing happens. Also what is the working day alarm setting?

Press the alarm button twice and you get a red circle on the left showing it is on. I can't change the alarm time either (I don't use it)

Q: Are you able to adjust the time for an automatic dim feature or is it fixed?

Thank you for your question. You can press the MODE button 3 times to enter the night setting mode, press UP or DOWN to turn on/off the night mode (the night mode is turned off by default) in the time mode. And in the night mode, long press "MODE" to set it... :)

Q: Hi, I’ve received the clock and having difficulty putting it on 12 hr mode. It keeps going onto 24hr mode.... please help to sort this out.

Hi，dear buyer. For the alarm to get into the 12Hr/24Hr mode, you can press and hold "MODE" for a few seconds while in the time display mode, and then the screen will start to flash. Next， you can switch between "12Hr/24Hr" mode by pressing the "Up" key.Finally press "MODE" to execute.
