Replacement Stainless Steel Bowl Set Fits Sunbeam & Oster Mixers

The mixing bowls fit my old mix master mixer perfect. While I loved the glass bowls they were too fragile. I made the best mashed potatoes my family had had in years. I was using a pan with my mixer, it did not work so well. But with the new bowls I could let the bowl rotate on its own while I added other ingredients after first beating the potatoes until there were zero lumps before adding butter and cream. It worked fabulous!

These bowls had good weight and were what I was looking for!

The big glass mixing bowl that came with my mix master is heavy and awkward, especially when making anything that requires pouring a heavy batter, like banana bread, into a pan. The large bowl in this set was just what I needed. It is light weight and made it possible for me to hold the bowl with one hand and scrape the batter out into the pan. It fit the turn table well and spun as needed. The only noticeable difference from the glass bowl is the shape of the large bowl. It is a little more straight sided and flat bottomed, requiring a little additional attention to getting the batter off the bottom of the bowl while mixing…especially since you can’t see unincorporated ingredients like you can with a glass mixing bowl.

Nice, lightweight mixer bowls, thin stainless-steel. Corrosion resistance and durability remain to be seen..... The larger bowl fits well on the turntable and functions as expected. The only "con" is the smaller bowl doesn't fit well on mixer turn table and will not spin* without manual assistance. (*.....tested with dish soap and water.....)Shipping was fast. The bowls do fit my Oster Regency Kitchen Center very nicely. They're much lighter and more durable than the original glass bowls. However, the large bowl does not spin centered and concentric with the spinning turntable. What this means is the large bowl does not spin completely centered on the turntable, causing the mixing beater with the plastic rotating tip to lose contact with the bowl sides, causing the bowl to stop rotating. I have to stand at the mixer and rotate the bowl by hand, reducing the efficiency of my cooking. The smaller bowl works very well. Too bad. My search continues for a replacement large bowl for the kitchen center.
