Best Book ever
This book is the best thing I have ever received. I am not much of a reader. But Dr. Seuss is one of my favorite authors. I have always loved his books. Once I received this book. It blew my mind. Has so much in it that was not expected. Loved how it was put together, the information that was in it, the stories as well. So many other have seen it and they loved it as well.

A Few Stories with Racist Themes
This compilation book has the following stories "criticized for unconscious racist themes":- And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street (1937)- If I Ran the Zoo (1950)- McElligot's Pool (1947)If you'd like to check them out the reasons, this is the good reference book for you. If you try to buy individually, the price is ridiculous now. Really.

I'm so glad I was able to find a used copy at a reasonable price.
I've been wanting to add many of the stories in this book to my personal "library" and was so happy that I found a used copy here on Amazon at a reasonable price. It would have been nice if my budget could allow me to buy it in new condition so that it would still have that new book smell, but the price was worth it.

BEST COLLECTION!
I bought this book over 30 years ago for my daughter when she was a baby. It was lost in a moving mishap. Now with a grand baby on the way I wanted it for him. It is very hard to find. Maybe it isn’t in print anymore? This has the best collections of Suess! My daughter never got through the full Sleep Book story. Horton, Yertle the Turtle, The Lorax and so much more!Where the jacket of the book is badly damaged, I don’t even care. The stories are what matter to me. The experience of reading it to another little one. I plan to make a new custom jacket for it.If you have little ones, GET THIS BOOK! Highly recommend!

Splendidly assembled with great extras
Each story is preceded by a one page intro (usually by a children's author) and followed by selected images from other Seuss works (including his advertisements) that provide insights into the creative process. These are really captivating additions for the parents reading the stories and might be interesting to kids as they get older as well.To pack all the stories into one book, the editors did selectively compress some images to fit what might have been on two pages in the original to one in this book. I was concerned about this before buying, but now that I've read through all the stories I am not. The pages to compress were very well selected and I didn't find it detracted from the beauty or flow of the content. The book is heavy, but my three year old girl (of below average size) can pick it up and bring it to me. I'd recommend laying the book down to read it. Many will find it a bit heavy to hold up high in the air.

Great Book! And Good condition too!
You may be wondering why I gave this a 5 ⭐️ Even though the condition of the DUST JACKET is a bit jacked up. Well, there’s really nothing wrong with the book it’s just the cover for it and all of the pages seem good and also well intact. It has a few dings on the corner but ehh I don’t judge a book by it’s cover. Overall really awesome book!

Dr. Seuss is often whimsical & fantastical for children, and those young at heart.
Five of my all time favorite Dr. Seuss books are in this compilation. When I was very young, probably about four years old, “And the Think That I Saw it on Mulberry Street” was one of my favorite books. I also loved “The 500 Hats of Bartholomew Cubbins”. (Not in this book.). But every story in this book brings back wonderful memories I had as a child, as well as reading the stories aloud to my students. I love the book!!!

Great book filled with Seuss' best, but too bulky for young child.
Bought this so my 3-year-old son could enjoy some of Dr. Seuss's best stories, the ones I fell in love with as a kid. Seemed like a good deal to get many stories in one, instead of buying all of the books separately. The book has some interesting anecdotal/historical essays (written by the who's-who in the literary/dramatic arts field) to each story which are interesting to adults, but your young child will care less about. My only true complaint about the book is that it is large and very heavy and therefore too difficult for a young child to handle by himself. Since my son is only 3 I hold it and read it to him now, so it's not a deal-breaker by any means.
