Easy set-up and nice screen size
Read a lot of reviews on weather stations before picking this one and glad I did. It's very easy to set up, literally put batteries in sensor and then in base unit, and it instantly started showing data. Internal antenna strength easily picked up outside data through outside house wall and kitchen cubby wall. Spot on accurate when compared with local observations. Read a review or two that said numbers were hard to read, but don't see an issue. Able to read outside temp from across the room. The rest of screen numbers are a bit small, but easy to read and very intuitive when standing next to it. I like that it shows moon phases.Hope it lasts as long as my previous one, which I had for about 15 years and survived a dog chewing the sensor :)

Good value
I received an earlier version of this as a Christmas gift a few years ago. It worked very well...until it didn’t. I didn’t see any kind of warning, it just stopped working one day. That said, I liked it well enough and the price was right so I got another- I guess that says that I recommend it! :-)

It Works
I have had AcuRite for many years. In time changes have been made for improvement. My reader was on my wood fence and when the company rebuilt the fence, my reader was lost. So I had no further indoor and outdoor readings. This is when I purchased the latest monitor. The new unit set up easily and the readings are easy to understand. The humidity gauge is not useable, nor do I understand what it is for. The moos settings is nice and fun because I have always appreciated a full moon. The storm predictor is not accurate and is unusable. The new reader on my new fence also can be read my my old monitor, so I now have one reader and two monitors. Very nice.

Worked fantastic until the summer came and it started going crazy overnight and showing inflated morning temps.
This worked fabulous for the past 8 months but now that it is very hot it does something odd overnight. When I get up in the morning, the temperature displayed for outside is 20-30 degrees beyond what it should be. So it's really 70 but its showing 90. What I think is happening is overnight condensation is building up inside due to the warming/cooling difference and then its making it malfunction and show an inaccurately high temp. The funny thing is, by mid morning it is totally correct again (probably after the sensor has dried out). However, this is now happening every single day and has been for the past month or so which is very annoying. I have never had this happen with any of my previous devices so not sure why this one is doing so. Otherwise its great.

Absolutely love this weather station
The media could not be loaded. We are very pleased with this weather station. It’s the second one we had. The first one lasted about 5-6 years and it was given to us as a gift. It quit working so we decided to purchase another one because we liked it so much. Looked at other ones but the first one lasted quite awhile so we decided to stay with the same kind. It is accurate to the weather on our iPhones. Also when the barometer pressure shows dropping and rain, we usually get the rain, so we think it’s pretty accurate. Highly recommend
