Reliable Wi-Fi energy monitor
The Shelly EM is a reliable and effective Wi-Fi-connected energy monitor that integrates effortlessly with Home Assistant. Once set up, it works flawlessly and provides accurate energy monitoring with great convenience.However, there are a couple of drawbacks. Pairing took four or five attempts because it requires a 2.4GHz network, and my phone was initially connected to the 5GHz network (both share the same SSID). Additionally, it would benefit from a case or cover for the exposed live screw terminals. I had to resort to using electrical tape.Despite these issues, the Shelly EM is a solid choice for energy monitoring, particularly for those who use home automation tools such as Home Assistant.

No connector supplied, just bare wires.
I bought this along with the Shelly EM pro, to my surprise this additional CT clamp didn’t come with the connector, just two bare wires, contacted Shelly through Amazon but didn’t not receive a reply, currently have the wires stuffed into the connector on the EM pro to make it work but considering the 240V terminals are close by… this could be an electrical disaster waiting to happen!

No CT clamp included so essentially useless
Absolutely ridiculous that this product does not come with the CT clamp to measure energy usage. Its basically a paper weight without it and Amazon doesn't even sell the CT clamp. Pointless. While Shelly EM is well reviewed for energy monitoring, why they choose to sell this stand alone AND without warning is beyond me.

As expected
Easy to install on an existing Shelly EM to monitor a second circuit. Once connected to the Shelly and power restored, the app picked up the circuit and provided readings, linked with Home Assistant and readings pulled through here also.
