Great Battery
Still using the batter for my PowerSmith Tools! It just keeps on going. It is a light duty tool set, and that is what I have used it for. Keeps a charge through every small project.

Terrible taking a charge
For a few days greater than a year, I have had:PowerSmith Maglithion 12-Volt Lithium-Ion Battery Pack Model MLAB12Powersmith Cordless Mini Vacuum -- 12 Volt Model# MLVA12CPowersmith Replacement Charger -- 12 Volt Li-Ion Model# MLACH12Each time I have recharged the battery, I have run into problems where the charger flashes red indicating the battery "temperature" is not right. At least that is what I assume from the little thermometer icon next to the flashing red light. Until now, each time I have been able to remove the battery from the charger and reinsert it one or more times and it finally charges more or less correctly. But it does have to be charged fairly often--maybe once every month or two. I guess that depends a lot on use. I use the Mini Vac maybe once every couple of weeks for less than 10 minutes each time. But this time I removed the battery and reinserted it several times. Each and every time the red light flashes immediately. I am going to request a replacement but, from the other reviews I have read, I am not very confident it will work.UPDATE 12/28/2012:Some months after the above review, the charger failed completely. I contacted the original manufacturer (not the seller) and complained. They responded within 24 hours and helped me analyze the problem. It turns out that the electrical connection "blades" down inside the charger were bent downward and not making proper contact with the battery when inserted. They advised bending the blades upward. I did that and ever since, the charger has worked flawlessly. I changed my rating to reflect that but still did not give it a perfect score. I feel even that should not have been necessary. But I am glad it worked and I am happy now.

Weak & crappy, but had to buy
These batteries and the tools I had bought before from Fleet Farm (only $100) are weak & crappy, but you get what ya pay for. Only reason I bought this battery online is because one of my original ones went bad quickly. Bottom line: pay more to get more unless, like me, you can get some use out of a wimpy power tool set.

It works like it should.
I bought this to see if it was my charger or the batteries that came with tools. They hold charge and recharge.

Battt\ery
The original charger is a flakey arrangement. Put a 5 Pound weight on battery to seat battery into charger!!The connection need repair??? Don't have battery charger problem due to fact the charger I recieved is coded. Will charge new battery as well/,.,.,..,..,.,..,.very well.Didn't Know the system charger was defective so far. It's called insertion loss, the well known logic of all known electronics...... the battery itself sucks I I guess?Haven't ran it down since....OK

Good quality for less
The PowerSmith tools are affordable and durable. The quick charge lithium batteries make a day's work productive and easy.. I used them for installing steel on our house roof, and the small battery size let me keep a spare in my apron without dragging me off the roof.
