For anyone looking for a substitute for the Folgers Noir coffee with is is it. Dark,rich, not bitter. It is delicious!

This has been my go to coffee for years now. I like strong coffee so I want the coffee I use to taste good even when brewed strong. This coffee does that! Highly recommend!

I have been drinking this brand of coffee for years and the taste is always great. The dark roast has a great taste to it as opposed to a regular roast. I know it's more expensive then the brands in a can but it is well worth the extra cost. By buying thru Amazon, the cost per bag is half of what I pay in the average grocery store. If you want coffee that has a great taste to it, I recommend giving Community Dark Roast a try.

This is strictly for the Cafe Special medium roast (I only tried one other kind at the CC's coffee house but it wasn't this one and wasn't as good):I happened upon this coffee randomly while staying at the Grenoble House (a lovely place in the French Quarter that's more like staying at your favorite great aunt's house than in a hotel) in New Orleans. They have this in the rooms for the guests and oh my goodness - while I'm ok with a few varieties of coffee, there have only been a couple in my life that I can honestly say I LOVE. This is the #1 right now. It is so smooth, no bitter aftertaste, and it's priced very well. I am so happy I discovered this coffee, and even more grateful that Amazon gives us the opportunity to purchase it all the way up here in Oregon!

I don't like dark roast coffee or any coffee that ventures into dark roast land flavor much, such as Charbucks etc. or any supermarket available dark coffee (NY).I've been on a Community Coffee kick of late, trying all the varieties. I thought I'd even give their Coffee and Chicory (not for me, but I could get used to it in war time), and this signature Dark Roast a try. Well I'm pleasantly surprised to be really enjoying it right now. It's definitely dark roasted, but not bitter or burnt tasting at all. It's rich and a little sweet. I fully expected to be giving the bag away to a dark roast fan after trying it. It won't be my go to roast, but it's a keeper.

I bought this as a gift for a coffee lover who normally drinks dark roasts like Sumatra and kona . I saw this and thought it was a great deal for the large amount of coffee you get. He said the coffee tasted great and he received it very fast. It made a great surprise gift . We've tried so many brands and types of coffee, and this is still the one we keep turning back to. Amazon usually has the best deal going, but I've got to keep tabs to make sure I catch it!Anyway, this particular one, Cafe Special, is so smooth and tasty, that I don't even need creamer, let alone sugar. Yep, straight black! All other coffees I've tried I always had to tone the bitterness with milk/creamer, but not Cafe Special. (We used to purchase Yuban Original, which was smooth like that, but they've changed the formula or something and now call it Traditional, and it is awful.)Buy Cafe Special, you'll like it!

I was a bit cautious - I had never heard of Community Coffee. But it's less expensive than my Starbucks - and having just bought a new home - we lovingly call "The Money Pit" - I thought I would give it a try. Well, bye-bye to Starbucks and HELLO to Community Coffee. It's great - first day one cup became two which I never do one right after the other. So then I got another variety and also a decaf for the Hubby - and guess what? They are all Winners!
