Good value for the dollars
Too early to review this (3 days) ... but here goes. Well worth it! It is *NOT* a high class trainer, but it does exactly what I was expecting. Assembly was easy, but as others have mentioned, it's not due to the instructions. They were barely helpful. But, it went together easily and works well. At first I thought it did not provide enough resistance, but after a few sessions I think it's going to be just right. It provides enough resistance to make you feel you're working, but certainly not like you're going up a hill, etc. If fitness and aerobics are the goal, it's perfect. If you want Ironman like uphill climbing, forget it.

Very Satisfied This Far
So far I am very satisfied with my purchase. This product is built very sturdy. I am using it on carpet, and thus far it has remained very steady while I ride. I am an average bike rider who simply wants to continue to enjoy bike riding during the winter months. This product is exactly what I was looking for. As far as noise, the sound is noticeable, but I didn’t find it to be to bothersome. I could ride and watch a movie or play music and hear them just fine. If I had to make an improvement to this product I would 1) offer it in more colors than just orange (black or silver would be nice), and 2) the instructions were a bit vague and the diagrams not very good quality photos, but in the end I figured it out (thankfully not too difficult!)

Good but lack of range in resistance.
Package came quickly and on time.Fairly easy setup, though instructions included were not very helpful. It does what you would hope, provide you some resistance so you can bike indoors. Not very loud in my opinion. My main beef is the lack of range. It comes with 6 settings for resistance. Switching from 1(lowest) to 6(highest) is really in my perception the difference between a flat and slight incline(maybe 3%) incline if you would out in the real world.I wanted to simulate a 10% climb. Even when I tightened everything as much as I could, I still needed to be in my big ring in front to get the resistance I wanted. Don't get me wrong, it's good. But not meant for simulating steep inclines. For the price though, it's a good buy. If you are a novice rider or someone just trying to stay fit, I would get this. If you are pro, then you already know you need to spend more to get what you need.

Great product except for the resistance knob
The stand itself is very good quality for the price. It is my first bike trainer so I cannot compare to others but definitely does its job and seems like it will hold up pretty well to some hard riding. The resistance is pretty good and can make for a good workout. I would have given this product 5 stars but for the quick release resistance knob. The quick release mechanism seems cheap and it simply won't stay on the handlebars with enough tightness and it completely comes apart when changing the dial. I need to attach it some other way and until then, it does make the riding a challenge. The resistance is great but the cheap lock makes it difficult to adjust.

My first trainer: success!
I, like many of you, am guilty of reading too many reviews before I purchase something. After reading about how cheap, noisy, and hard assemble this trainer was, I almost gave up. Against my better judgment, I made the plunge. I’m very glad I did. This is my first bike trainer, and I couldn’t be more pleased, especially for the price point. I found the assembly to be very simple and straightforward. I did watch an assembly video, which was very helpful. It is much sturdier than I had anticipated. It is the perfect weight to be portable, but still sturdy enough that I am confident riding pretty hard. That said, I am 5’4” and 130 lbs, so I can’t speak for anyone larger than me.As for the noise factor - my biggest hesitation - I was once again pleasantly surprised. I live in a 2 bedroom apartment, and primarily work out in the mornings in the 2nd bedroom before my partner wakes up. I was worried the noise would bother him. Fortunately, it’s not even close to being a problem. I even tested the noise from the basement directly under where the bike trainer is, and it was almost undetectable. I don’t know what some of the other reviewers were experiencing with their claims of a noise problem, but I have not had that experience at all. It’s possible that they have an assembly problem.Overall, this trainer was a major win for me. I’ve been using it a few times a week for just over a month now and it seems like it will stand the test of time. If you’re like me and read too many reviews, let this be your last one! Stop reading and buy the thing!

Negative refund policy with update
I did like the bike trainer. I returned it because my husband wanted to use it as well, but his tire is bigger. However, do not throw away your box people if for any reason you decide to return it and be sure to box it exactly as it came. I had to pay for a box to return it in and I didn’t take it apart. I only received a partial refund. So, basically I ended up paying a 1/3 of the price of the trainer that I no longer own. I can understand if I had damaged it, but I didn’t.Update: Yes, only a little while later. However, I called Cycling for Less and discussed the issue I had. They did refund me the extra. Also, because of this I would give a couple more stars.

Easy install on a vintage Trek road bike
Following eye surgery, I was unable to ride my road bike outside because vision, depth perception, and balance issues. My surgeon suggested adapting my bike to fit a stationary trainer, which would permit me to put some "miles" in right in my home, while avoiding the short-term limitations from the surgery. This device was easy to assemble (even with a newly repaired eye), and it worked well for the 100+ miles a month I put on it for a bit over three months until I was able to get back on the road.NOTE(1): This device requires a bike with a "skewer" through the rear axle; a custom skewer is provided to fit the mounting screws -- but the one in my bike fit fine.NOTE(2): I was not permitted to use the resistance function as a side-effect of my eye surgery, but I did give it a cursory spin for a couple of miles before dismantling it to put my bike back on the road and it seemed to work as expected.
