101 Labs - Cisco CCNA: Hands-on Practical Labs for the 200-301 - Implementing and Administering Cisco Solutions Exam

This book is very good for practicing a variety of configurations on switches and routers. Some are more involved than others but all contain valuable information. Worth the buy!

If you plan to take the new CCNA 300-101 then you need this book. Paul Browning and Co. put out the best lab manuals you will ever find. Trusty me I know. I have purchased every 101 lab book he has released. Also get his new CCNA Simplified book that is updated to 300-101 to read and study up on the theory. To pass the exam you have to do lots of labs and this book has you covered on that. Paul knows how to prepare people for the exam and the quality of the study material he puts out shows. All you have to do is put in the study time.

Some errors and typos in the Book, that could have been avoided, some Labs are useless due to packet tracer limitations, but good overall

Liked that these are practical labs and rigorous enough to test your knowledge. Multiple passes through this set of labs will definitely have you prepared for almost anything that Cisco may test you on during your certification test.

Focus is on practice. Labs are well designed and laid out for useful hands-on practice and mastery of required knowledge. Cannot go wrong buying the updated version, V4. I have both print and kindle versions. Love them.

When you are done with a lab and move on to the next it really doesn't tell you if you should use previous setting and save them. Also one or two pictures have the switches with wrong numbers. Not a bad book. I just like that you get to input the commands so much that you actually remember them fairly well. There are some processes that also have very good explanations. Like I said, they should have put at the end of each exercise a note stating to either "wr" or "copy run start" before moving on or just say reload without saving the changes.
