Kuat Hitch Adapter

Seems to work great with my Thule T2 Pro XT 2 Bike Rack. I didn’t actually load the bikes or drive with it, but it feels tighter (with the adjustable knob on the rack) than with my Acura with 1.25 inch hitch. I may end up drilling 2 little holes to keep the adapter attached to the rack, but it’s tight and locks so not super concerned. The hole matches up to the latch on my f350. I will update when I put it on my camper and/or drive with it, but initial impression seems like it will work great.

you will need to drill the holes and tap them in order to mount this. I did all that only to realize the pin will not go through to secure this to a 2 inch receiver. The hole is too far off center. Would be better to purchase a universal 1 1/4 - 2 inch adapter instead of this one.

We have two Küat racks, a 2" and a 1.25. My wife was recently rear-ended and her rat got bent up so we had to put my smaller one on so I got this adapter I was assuming it would be have a loose fit. It actually fits pretty solid and holds the Rack in very tightly in a 2-inch hitch. Biggest issue I had was the pin that goes through the receiver and holds the rack into the receiver with the lock is super tight on this since the holes on the adapter and the1.25 rack. You have to force the smaller pin through a slightly misaligned hole once you get that in it really is solid and tightens up nicely. Just as another note we love the racks also they are super solid hold the bikes in easy-to-use and the up and down mechanism is so nice. Our previous racks we're a pain in the butt to raise up and down these are so smooth and solid

One feature of my KUAT rack is the ability to tighten it into the receiver is such a way as to provide a tight fit that prevents rattling. This is a great adapter because it allows the KUAT “anti rattle” (my description) feature to be fully functional when I use the 1 1/4 inch KUAT Sherpa rack in a 2 inch receiver. The screw provided allows me to attach the adapter to the Sherpa rack. The keyed locking pin that came with my KUAT Sherpa for securing the rack to receiver is only about .333 inch (8.5mm) diameter and it does fit in the offset pin hole, however a standard pin (mine measures .62 inches) would not fit.

This product installed in no time. I thought you had to remove two bolts to attach this, but if you look at the rack, there are two empty holes where this attachment goes, and you don't even remove bolts. Installation took 30 seconds, and it works perfectly in my 2019 Ford Ranger's hitch. I can imagine a larger hitch pin may not fit, but I was using the locking pin that came with my rack anyway.--Very Satisfied.

This worked perfectly for my Kuat rack. I had purchased the pivot arm and it only comes in 2” and my rack was 1 1/4”. This solved the problem with no!!! Wobbling. You do have to use the lock that come with your Kuat rack But it was the lock I used already.

not able to use or return because I modified to try to make it work.not able to use because I don't have a "KUAT" bike rack.Seller was doing everything to make me happy.

DO NOT buy this adapter, read other reviews and don’t waste your money. I have the Sherpa bike rack and it doesn’t work, because of the geometry the holes are offset and will not align. Just by simply trying to install it the metal got scratched and now I’m not eligible for a full refund. :(Ended up getting the BougeRV 2" to 1-1/4" Receiver Hitch Adapter!
