Best mechanical brake calipers.
Solid upgrade for my Poseidon X Ambition. You need a 180mm rotor for the front wheel, which is fine because that increases braking force even more. I paired them with Jagwire cables and the bike brakes (nearly) as well as my wife’s Trek that has full hydraulic brakes.

Fantastic Value, need better descriptions.
Wow! I have the State All-Road 6061, and despite their best efforts, the stock mech disk brakes are awful!Purchased these hesitantly as an upgrade, but man I wish I had purchased sooner!Bite is excellent, and when combined with Jagwire cables and housing the modulation is insanely good.Recommendations:1) for my bike, and several others that I have seen online, you will need a 180mm Rotor on the front for these to work. Purchase that when you purchase these and you will be great! You can get away with a 160 on the rear by removing the adapter and mounting these directly, or just purchase two 180s and have more braking power.2) buy a set of pads when you purchase these. Unfortunately the pads that come with them will probably only last a few months.

Must Have: 180 mm Rotors!
Like many reviews for this product, I have learned that my bike needs 180 mm rotors. Otherwise, the brake pads will only grab the very outer edge of the 160 mm rotors. This causes uneven wear on the brake pads and unreliable braking. The solution is to install 180 mm rotors on the front wheel. Might as well install 180 mm rotors in the rear, too.Other than the rotor issues, I would have given this a five star rating.*UPDATE: Ordered 180mm rotors from Amazon. Installed on the front wheel. Worked well. However, the 180mm rotor was too large in the rear. In other words, these brakes accommodate 180mm rotors in the front and 160mm rear for a 2021 Poseidon X gravel bike.Lastly, DO NOT UNBOLT THE SIDES HOLDING THE BRAKE HOUSING TOGETHER! Some mineral oil leaked out, and now the brakes have lost some stopping power. Looks like a little port is available to refill with mineral oil, but could not find instructions anywhere.

Work great but needs correct parts included
I have seen a few other reviews have the same issue I ran into with these brakes. I had to use 180 mm rotors with these. I tried installing initially with the included 160 mm but they didn't have enough rotor between the pads on the caliper. I have a Poseidon x and had to go to a couple different local bike shops to find 180 mm rotors as the first didn't have any. I will say they are much better than standard mechanical calipers though and have had no issues so far being on for a couple weeks. The only other issue I had is the top bolt for the front caliper is difficult to install as part of the caliper is in the way and doesn't allow for a straight hex key to install you will need a ball style end on the hex key to be able to install. If it at least included the correct rotor size I would overlook the slight issue with the bolt and give this product 5 stars. I would still recommend this product but just be aware of the potential of needing bigger rotors.

Work great on my 2019 Trek Checkpoint AL3
Work great on my 2019 Trek Checkpoint AL3. Drop in replacement for the stock tektro calipers. They've held up for a year and a half of amateur cyclocross, commuting, road rides, and mild single-track. They certainly feel better than purely mechanical brakes, but probably aren't halfway to full hydraulic brakes.

You might have to up size your front rotor but these are a great upgrade!
Most of the negative reviews I see are of folks complaining they the front rotor doesn't fit. I happened to read about this before purchasing for my bike so I was not caught off guard. I paired these with Yokozuna Compressionless brake housing and I can lock my rear tire up and do endos on my Poseidon X now. They are way better than the Tektro brakes that came on the bike. I'm very happy with him.

Easy install, worthy upgrade for the cost
Super easy install although on my 2022 top stone 4 I had to use a 180mm caliper in the front because I couldn’t get it to mount with the stock 160 I do believe this is a cannondale issue, not a Juin issue, so I’m not detracting points for this. Braking is umpteen times better than stock single-sided calipers. Adjustment is easy and the build quality is solid!
