Just what I was looking for but didn't know existed, this is the solution to concerns about tracking in dirt, bacteria, chemicals, etc. from your shoes into your home. I use 3 quarts of half water and half vinegar to clean off the soles of shoes, then dry them on a waterhog mat which I also purchased on Amazon. This mat could also be used to more thoroughly sanitize by using a disinfecting solution, but I prefer to use the safer water/vinegar which I believe is safer and effective enough for my purposes, and is cat-friendly. I wish I had thought of this years ago. I think this beats asking every guest and visitor to remove his or her shoes! Very simple and convenient.

This mat is nice quality however it did not work for us. We were looking for one that held a bunch of water to clean your shoes/boots.

So far this is looking great. It’s not too big and it serves its purpose. There’s an empty area on the mat that I think is for any logos or signage. I wish it would say Sanitizing Floor Mat so people would know to step on it.

I like that this product holds disinfectant and allows for the bottoms of your shoes to be cleaned without getting your entire foot wet. There are a couple of issues with the product. First, it turns the floor around it black. And, the nipples started to break off after about one month of use.

Not quite what I needed but will still do the job. My fault as I didn’t notice the little rubber fingers on the surface.

I purchased this mat for use at work, and it seems to do exactly what we need. We replaced a 2 1/2' sided mat with this one, as we no longer use a liquid sanitizer. We have switched to a powder, the high sides were not needed any longer. One advantage to this mat is it easier to get in the door and not fall all over, because you forgot about the 2' + step as you entered. The rubber cushions inside the lip seems to hold in the powder better then the old mat, we should have less waste. It seems to be a heavy duty item, will update if it isn't as durable as it seems, I think it is going to hold up longer, due to the fact the sides tore off the yellow lip mat, from everyone tripping over it. The only disadvantage is its not as large as the old one, but I think it still serves the purpose.

we use this mat with bleach solution. It makes the solution black and then you track black footprints, Now about a year or so later, the little nibs are coming off in droves. Good idea but need to address the black coming off problem. I assume people are using these for sanitary foot baths.
