The media could not be loaded. I found out one of the drive on my Dell R720 RAID become Red over the weekend, and quickly order two of SAS Drive to replace it, the item arrived this morning, and put it to the caddy, plug-in, start to re-sync RAIDs with out even shut up the system. Works flawlessly.Item was packed with care, ship via Fedex,This drive costs hundreds of dollar years ago, now, it is a great value, I even jokes with my associates, the caddy that holding it, the price may soon surpass the drive.An Reliable drive to use on Servers, I have many of this drive on server, never give me any trouble for years.The Technology changes, but it still serves its purpose well. Great Buy!!

In all fairness these drives are probably ok but they will not work on my system. They are SAS drives and will not work on my Sata controller. You need a server board that has a SAS controller in order to use them. I failed to make sure they would be compatible with my system before purchasing.

This is not a SATA III connection as listed by the seller in the item information.I note that the listing also says it is a SAS connection drive, this is correct instead.The product does not have a manufacture warranty as shown in the product description.The product is not new as listed in the product description.After returning to the listing I see that other reviewers have also reported and noted these, but the seller has still neglected to update the listing. Given the time that has passed between those reviews and mine, I can only assume the seller is intentionally listing wrong information to get more sales.I can use them for another project and it's faster to buy an adaptor than ship back and wait for a refund so I will just keep them, but will not be shopping from "Aiden' Shoppee" again. If they can't even handle setting up a product listing (or are outright ripping people off) I doubt I can trust them to provide decent products.

Everything was as advertised regarding this purchase. The drives were packaged well and it was shipped promptly and arrived quickly.

I put 8 of these in my Enhance Box RAID enclosure using an ATTO R680 controller. I have the RAID control do a Media Scan with Verify every night. So far, 338 scans with no errors. I can't think of a downside. I bought these for video editing, so I do a lot of reads and writes. I bought an additional drive as a spare, and it looks like that was unnecessary. Priced right. Quality product.

We bought 9 of these (8 in RAID Z2 (like RAID 6) and a cold spare) for a ZFS file server built. With 12TB of usable, double redundant storage, we were extremely pleased. Performance is as expected, linear read and write speeds as advertised approaching 150 megabytes/sec. Even with the overhead of RAID Z2, we get write speeds over 600 megabytes/sec to our array.

works good... but very likely used drives as it was dated 2011 as production date... and there were some faint scratches

Product came in very fast, installed in server. Power light came on and it spun up but had a flashing yellow light indicating an error and you can hear a slight clicking sound.
