Nice and tart

My wife and I did not like the taste or the smell of the cherries. After one bite we through the bag in the garbage. The cherries have apple juice and sunflower oil in them. They smell like oil.

I recently purchased a package of dried cherries and I really enjoyed them, especially because they were packaged individually. My only issue is that I bit down on a pit. I looked over the entire the package, but I didn’t see a warning that it may contain pits. I wrote to the company and they responded very quickly. Their response was that their “QA team have stringent process in place such as X-rays and metal detection as well as checking for visible defects at every step and all microbiological tests are conducted prior to sending for member's consumption. As stated on the outer packaging (not the individual portion packs), although every care is taken to remove pits, in rare cases it is possible some may occur.” So if you purchase the dried cherries, please be careful because there’s no warning on the individual packages that they may contain a pit.

Ever since I figured out that dried fruit when cut up tastes delicious on oatmeal instead of brown sugar I've been a fan of this companies delicious fruits. Only once did I find a pit inside one of the cherries, but since I cut them in half on my oatmeal it was not a problem. Just chew carefully if you eat them by the handful. They are that amazing and taste sort of sweet-and-sour. I have decided to go ahead and get the bulk bag because I eat them every day now! To your health,~The Rebecca Review

These are delicious! They're soft and chewy and maintain all the flavor of fresh cherries. The bag keeps them fresh. I keep them on hand all the time for a quick snack or to add to cereal, yogurt, fruit cups, or baked goods.

I used to buy another, wonderful brand of dried tart cherries but they are currently unavailable. I hope they come back because these are awful mostly because of the smell! When you open the bag, I can’t decide if it’s like mold or moth ball smell, but it’s awful. You can taste the “smell” when you’re eating them too. They don’t make you sick or anything, so I guess if you can get past the odor, they’ll work for you.
