It may not be flashy but it does the job and came exactly as advertised, 32 meters of type K thermocouple wire. Non-standard colors, but red and black are still easy to follow. Above room temp red is positive, black is negative. When cold, red will read negative. Accurate measurements within a couple degrees for everything I have used it for. Used it in a kiln without any issue. Stainless braided shielding is good, and the fiberglass wire insulation can take the high temps. Just make sure you are careful to not poke yourself when cutting the wire or pulling back the shield. Overall: 10/10, it is exactly what it should be Overall,

Some of the reviews are very unfair. i.e complaining about the outer shield braid being prickly. That's the way braid is folks! It's not a defect in the product. Read the description and if "Thermocouple Wire Cable" is what you're in the market for, this is great stuff. Note; there is no outer insulation jacket, just the braided shield as shown in the pictures. Maybe that's what you want, maybe not, but don't buy it and complain if it isn't.

K type wire insulation standard colors are red and yellow. this wire is red and black. not clear which is positive and which is negative.

Hey peeps, when you encounter type K thermocouple wire with non-standard colors, use a magnet to tell which wire is which. At room temperature, Alumel is magnetic, Chromel is not. Chromel is the + conductor.

Quality cable at a reasonable price. Having read other reviews, I wonder if the manufacturer has updated the product, as mine had red and blue threads in the fabric sleeves (others mentioned they had black and red). The wire is solid core and designed to be connected to K Type thermocouple plugs. I found it easy to use for the type of product it is.

This thermocouple wire works as expected and gives off the same voltage as the Omega ones I have. The color codes are incorrect, but that's easy to figure out with a little bit of troubleshooting. Hopefully they fix that in future iterations.
