Going to the Source, Volume I: To 1877: The Bedford Reader in American History

This books offers extra details about documents, monuments and historical events.

Too basic. I thought it would be a bit more suggestive of what sources I could investigate.

This was the textbook needed for my history class in college, and it helped me find sources to write and ace the final paper in the class. I think that renting from amazon or getting a second hand book is the best way to go, since I only needed this for a couple months.
