I tried some of the cheaper 3-pin adapters on here and found that they were badly constructed and designed for so many different types of plug that the earth didn't always make good contact. This one's expensive, but it does one thing (take a UK plug) and it actually works, with solid contact on all three pins. If you need your kit to be earthed, this is the one to do it.

I purchased a crafting machine from the UK and it came with a UK plug. I couldn't use it here in the US and was very disappointed. I bought this adapter and like magic, I am able to use my machine. Couldn't be happier.

Great plug that sits solidly in the wall and does the job of converting from UK to US. One slight flaw is that it makes the UK plug sit upside down so that the lead will generally be pointing upwards rather than downwards. This is because the earth prong tends to be below the other 2 prongs in US sockets (in my admittedly limited experience).

This is a great product. I used it for a biOrb (fish tank) heater. It is a simple design and not too bulky like some international adapters. Keep in mind this is not a converter but will work just fine for most household items with British . Would suggest to anyone looking for a british to American adapter.

Works just fine, I saw a few people said it stops working with the slightest touch, I found the issue for that, you gotta make sure you force the UK plug all the way inside of it for it to be stable, It is a tight fit and I didn't notice it until I tested it. I
