Perfect for my desk
UPDATE: 5 months laterStill working from home. Looks like it will be permanent which is a big hallelujah. The lamp is still working perfectly. Never need to tighten the clamp and it has not drooped at all. Highly recommend it.I think I read every review on Amazon and settled on this desk lamp. It is perfect for my application. I have a fairly long, 6' portable table that I set up as my office desk. One end was a bit dark and I needed something that would clamp onto that end to illuminate it. I needed a lamp that was long enough to get over my large, 21" monitor raised on a stand maybe 4". This lamp is long enough and flexible enough to reach over my monitor and flexible enough for me to bend it just right so I don't get any glare in my eyes. Perfect! It clamped securely to my table which has irregular sides/edges and the long neck does not droop. The only feature this does not have is a touch anywhere on the lamp to turn it on or off. So I have to stand up and reach a couple feet. No big deal. I'm already up when I want to turn it off. Although I could use the cool little remote that comes with it if I'm feeling particularly lazy.My eyes are particulary light sensitive. It has actually been an enormous reflief for me to be forced to work from home due to Covid (today is 11-12-20). The flourescent lights in my office were killing me. As I have gotten older, it got worse to the point where my eyes were so irritated by the end of the day I could barely keep them open or focus on my work. With this lamp, you can not only choose the color of the light from a warm yellow color to bright white, you can also dim the brightness quite a bit. Again, perfect for me.I got the black model and it looks sharp. When you're looking at these type of lamps, be sure to add up the measurements to see what the total overall length is. This one was the longest one I saw and it fits my needs well. I don't use this lamp to light up my entire work space and I don't think it could very well. It is very good at illuminating maybe up to a 3 or 4 foot light foot print, but beyond that you will have some dark areas. But in my case, I only need it to illuminate one end of my desk and it does the job well.I have been using it for about three weeks as of this writing with absolutely no complaints.

Good lamp, but not perfect. Great value for the money.
This is a good lamp. I think I looked at every single gooseneck lamp on Amazon before I picked this one. and I am quite happy with the purchase Overall, it's good - not perfect, but good. And for the money, I'd say it's great when you factor in all of the features like the remote, the dimming capabilities, the sleep timer, etc.. There are a few small issues, like it's not quite as bright as I had thought it might be, with such a large head area where the light comes from, I just thought it should be brighter. That's not that bad for me, as I don't need a particularly bright light, but it is just something to keep in mind. My other minor complaint is that I have the lamp mounted on a standing desk, and when I type on the keyboard too hard the light wobbles a bit. I suppose the entire desk must be shaking a bit, but I don't really notice it much other than the light sort of wobbling. And I'm guessing that the wobbling is just part of being a gooseneck lamp and all lamps in this style would have that minor wobble.Another nit-pick here is that the power button is a touch sensitive area towards the bottom of the arm. There are a total of 5 buttons, and the power is in the middle. It would be a lot easier to find the power button if it stuck out somehow so you could actually feel the power button. Otherwise, if the button were at the bottom of the row of buttons rather than the middle, then it would be easier to guess the right spot to put your finger to turn it on. There's a red LED in the power "button" area of the touch sensitive buttons that's always on when the lamp has power. So if you're looking at it, you can see where the power button is in the dark, even though you can't feel it. But you really need to look at it to turn it on.The last negative is that it has two sleep timer options, but they are 60 seconds and 10 minutes. I'd rather it was something like 10 minutes and 30 minutes rather than 60 seconds. I can't quite figure out the usefulness of 60 seconds with a remote. It would be one thing if you needed to turn it off manually and then wanted just a minute more light as you exited the room or got into bed or something. But since there's a remote, you can just use the remote to turn it off from bed or the doorway. But what the lamp does well is that it is big enough to extend over my monitors, still curve down and illuminate my desk area without shining in my eyes. I actually point it at the wall behind my desk in order to just get a little background light when I'm working at night. I also find the different "colors" of light to be way more useful than I initially thought when selecting it. I didn't think I'd ever bother changing the colors when I bought it, but now that I'm using it, I find that I like the cooler "bluer" light in the morning and the warmer "orange" light at night before bed.I spent the bulk of the review talking about what was wrong with the lamp, but really, all of the issues are minor things. All in all, it's a good lamp.

MUCH SHORTER than described in pictures
The "items dimensions" picture in the product listing shows the flexible gooseneck part of the lamp as being 32.6 inches. This is actually more like 24 inches. The flexible gooseneck AND the lamp head together measure up to 32 inches. Other problems with the lamp are that it is dim and that the warmer end of the light color is a harsh yellow. The remote also works in a rather narrow range of angles. If you don't point it right, the remote buttons don't register.I ended up returning this lamp, and instead purchasing the one in https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B083FXRZDN. That other lamp is much brighter and the warmer end of the light color is much more soothing. Additionally the remote is radio based (as opposed to IR for this lamp) and so works easily from bed without having to point it towards the light (even works from under the blanket). That lamp is slightly longer than this one.
