Excellent, smooth crack repair.
This is a great product for patching cracks. The paper is much thinner than drywall tape or mesh, and it requires less “dope” to cover it, resulting in a much smoother patch without the need to feather widely. It does take some fiddling with the included dope, but it works well once you get the hang of it. I rarely do any drywall work anymore, but when i need to, I will use the included tape instead of traditional drywall mesh for the reasons stated above.

You can count on it.
Really works well. I've used it several times and it has really helped me with my aging plaster walls.

Surprise! Yes It was then shaking my head.
The paste is excellent; however, they cheaped-out on the fiber glass mesh to a less wide thin fiber material harder to work with, bunches-up, and certainly covers less area over the crack. You may need, I did, buy the widerfiberglass mesh roll that use to comewith this kit at a paint store.

Easy to use and works great for cracks on a plaster wall
We have a 120 year old home with plaster walls. With that you get cracks especially around big picture windows. I saw an ad for this in an issue of "This Old House" and purchased the kit just to try it out. Glad I did, as I was able to easily fix 3 cracks in just a matter of minutes. The paste is thick and the "tape" goes on easy. Basically just clean the area to be repaired with a rag, apply with a paint brush, lay in the tape and smooth it out with the enclosed tool. Wait 10-20 minutes for it to dry a bit and then go over it once more. Again, using the smoothing tool feather it out to make a smooth finish. Once it drys you can paint over it. I am not great at feathering, etc., but it was pretty easy. Just take your time and it will look great. For me I was less concerned about getting the smoothing just right but rather wanting to take care of the crack. In my opinion, great product and the kit will go a long way.

Works good on crack repair
Works good on crack repair, need to have enough cracks so that you use up all of the product, if you leave some in the jar the next time you want to use it, it will be lumpy. won't apply smooth.

The crack is back!
Repaired this crack using Krack Kote in December of 2022. Now in July of 2023 this is the crack… it did not work! We even had a paint pro apply it before painting the wall. He had used it before and recommended it to us. Now we’re just going to put an architectural accent piece over it to hide the crack. I’m very disappointed that I can’t get something back that I paid for this “forever wall repair product” that didn’t even last 6 months. We did warn the painter not to recommend it. So much for all their rhetoric. No guarantee just their glowing description of an almost perfect solution to wall problems!!!!

Excellent product!
Have used this product for years. It does a fabulous job, particularly on cracks that continue expanding/contracting due to weather changes. It seems to need replacement after 10 years or so (depending on how much shifting occurs in the cracks and how much continued settling occurs in the house) - but it is far better than anything else we've tried.Disappointed that additional bridge tape and larger sizes of the emulsion cannot be purchased on Amazon, as this product is very difficult to locate in local stores. (Called one today that is listed on the Abatron website as a supplier - they never heard of it!) HELLO ABATRON - PLEASE ADD MORE OPTIONS HERE ON AMAZON!Important to follow the instruction carefully, watch online videos - and enjoy crack-free walls for many years!

Where gas this been all my life?!
Incredible product. I own an old house with plaster under a staircase. With constant use the staircase vibrates and shifts the plaster, which results in inevitable cracks. I was consigned to troweling joint compound, sanding and touching up with paint on a yearly basis. With Krack Kote, I can see a brighter crack free future. I ran out of the fabric cloth, but I got a bigger roll through the manufacturer’s website. I have sometimes used it without the tape for tiny cracks, and it seems to hold up well. Glad I found this!
