This is my favorite pencil for note taking, drawing, and sheet music writing. The eraser is excellent. No smudges. The mechanism works reliably. The lead is sharp but durable. I give them as gifts to people who appreciate good mechanical pencils.

These are great mechanical pencils. They're a little pricey, but well worth it. I like the way you can adjust the eraser height and the pencils are easy to refill. I also like the comfortable grip, it is very functional . I think these pencils are the best I've ever used.

This Pentel pencil is the best mechanical pencil that I have used in years. It writes dark,smoothly and is easy to use. The eraser fully erases the pencil marks. There is a comfortable rubber grip. Don't buy cheaper ones. These are really a good value.

Best mechanical pencils! Love the twist up eraser. Nice and sturdy and I love that I always have a sharp point to write as small as I’d like.

These are my all time favorite pencils. I've been using the first one for over a year and it's not showing any signs of wear. I would absolutely recommend. The pencils have a bit of weight to them, so they don't feel cheap, but aren't super heavy like metal pencils. The pencil feels good in your hand and writes well. The lead feed is solid and effective. The metal tip keeps your lead braced and I think I've only snapped my lead once in hundreds of pages of calculations. The eraser is also very good, which is a big deal to me. It completely erases my average pressure writing without smudging, ensuring that any new writing is clear. It's also very easy to extend and hasn't run out in over a year. Considering how nice and durable this pencil, it's worth every penny in my opinion, especially if you use your pencil a lot. It's not expensive compared to the "high end" pencils out there, a few of which I've tried, and I like better than all of them by far. When I was researching the best mechanical pencils, I was skeptical this pencil would out perform high end expensive ones, but I decided to trust the reviews that said this pencil was their favorite, and now I've been added to their numbers!

I’ve used mechanical pencils for years. I used Paper Mate previously, and I’m still getting adapted to these. The grip is good and feels comfortable in my hand. I tend to push down too hard on the paper, breaking the graphite. Nifty eraser. P.S. the label looks tacky, and the pen is tacky on my hand when you peel it off
