Larger than expected … Update after regular use.
This is now my third order. The first two failed after about a year. Both bases cracked and started leaking. The company refunded the first one. I decided maybe it’s just not meant to last too long so I ordered a used like new one because I just needed the pitcher part and it was half the price.Uses like new was not accurate. Whoever returned it put it all back nicely AFTER they had broken the rim of it. Anyway I hacked some pieces of the new used broken one and my old leaky one together so I have filtered water until I’m able to find a new brand. I’m not going to deal with sending this one back again. It’s taller than I anticipated so it didn’t fit in my refrigerator (the base is wide so also wouldn’t fit in the door). In the end I think that was a good thing. I keep it on the counter and use it for electric kettle, cooking etc and just fill water bottles for the fridge.

Perfect & Filters Microplastics
I love the design and capacity. Filtering takes just as long as you’d expect a water filter to work properly. I bought two so that I have enough to use for my dogs as well. The only little gripe I have with it is that the spout is not sealed so it’s open to the refrigerator air. Maybe it’s just me but that kind of grosses me out

Leaks, cheap
Poorly made and too big for the dishwasher, which would probably have cracked it sooner anyway. I tried the 2 larger plastic pitchers after I dropped the smaller glass pitcher while washing it, so to be clear, I have now owned 3 of these. I wanted it to work so badly, even after the first plastic one leaked, I decided I must have somehow cracked it and yet, the newest one is now leaking. To be fair, I love the company and the water really does taste great, but that is where the benefits end. I have wasted so much money on this product and the filters, etc. Moving on, probably back to Britta. More plastic landfill fodder, shame on me. L

Great Capacity and Easy to Use
This water filter pitcher works really well and holds a generous amount of water—perfect for our family. It filters quickly and the water tastes clean and fresh. The only downside is that it’s made of plastic, but overall it’s a convenient and effective solution for everyday use!

Liked it at First, Design Problems, Back to Brita
I decided to try LifeStraw over Brita because it was also a highly rated brand and I liked to style of some of their pitchers. This pitcher was weird in many ways but I did feel like it cleared the water, I could especially tell when boiling the filtered vs unfiltered water. BUT. It has some design flaws and other issues. The handle makes zero sense, the idea of it being up high does make it easier to hold when it’s actually all the way full, but it does not make it easier to pour. I never really paid any mind to that but I’ve watched some friends (yes more than a few of them even) struggle to pour it when I have it full and end up supporting it from the bottom (which to be fair is true for traditional old style pitchers). But design could be better. The big thing for me though was coming across mold. I can’t even figure out how to remove to piece that has mold on it but it doesn’t matter because when I looked into replacement filters and parts, I might as well buy a new water filter. And it’s definitely not going to be a LifeStraw one. Back to Brita it is for me.

Functional and fragile
The filtered water tastes great, doesn't have any strange off-tastes like some other filters. Love that this filter works for bacteria and parasites and identifies the NSF rating. A few cons: plastic is easily cracked and must be handled with care (don't drop the filter housing!) Frequency of carbon filter replacement is every two months which is comparatively frequent. It's not the easiest to clean without long, thin tools to get into the nooks and crannies.

Exceptionally good tasting water
This pitcher is legit good!We have city water in a good area which should be good in theory but always smelled a but like sulfur and had a metallic taste to it and is extremely hard.I thought by buying it we'd see a minor improvement similar to that of the built in fridge water filter, or Brittas we had in the past. That is not the case at all. The difference is absolutely outstanding, even when comparing it to plastic water bottles. The water tastes so smooth and pleasant. Coffee even tastes better. The wife was skeptical and we did blind taste tests for her with various sources of water and she immediately knew which was out of this pitcher and preferred it over all the others. We leave the pitcher on the counter and the flip fill cap on top is a nice touch to make filling easier. It does filter on the slower side and takes several refills at the sink to fully fill the pitcher, but this is not something that has been an issue. However, fill your glass first then refill the pitcher, or wait for it to filter out the water before filling a cup or some dirty water may spill out the top.

Not Perfect!
So this is my second life structured after six months of having the first one had to replace it because of leaks from the bottom. Didn’t think anything of it I thought maybe we put it down too hard on the counter every time we use it. So I purchased a second one and started placing it on a softer material six months forward, and I am seeing leaks again. The leaks from the deck leave pretty substantial that’s on the counter and I also don’t want to ruin the granite. Looking closely at the joke. I realized that it’s not one complete plastic sheet. It has a vertical seen running through the center and then a bottom circular base that’s attached to the cone of the junk so essentially creating two separate seams where the water seems to be coming out from. Why is the water jug great when it was working absolutely. I also like life shots. Other products that I have a travel very disappointed that this didn’t work the way I had hoped.
