I had thrown out a cheapo $18 cutter a while back, that didn't last long and frequently left some crooked cuts, and I had a whole reel of 1/8" of stainless steel wire rope to cut. After trying out this cutter for a week, I almost couldn't believe how straight and clean the cut was! It was as if the cut was done with a cutoff wheel, but with no burn marks! I guess the saying is true that once you use a professional grade tool, you can't go back to the DIY tools. I'll definitely be keeping my eye out for more cutting tools from this HIT brand as I have more projects come up!

Great cable cutter. Well put together and easily cuts through bicycle cables. There's cheaper that will do the job but aren't as good and better but for significantly more money. Probably best balance of cost/quality.

You get what you pay for

Was using to cut the stem of eggplant, broke in my hands. Worked well until this.

Works as advertised

I bought this cutter for a cable railing system installation. Made approximately 30 cuts, all are clean.I feared that too much pressure would be required on the handles, but it was ok. I did use both hands to squeeze the handles, but it was not too hard. Probably a guy with big hands could do it one-handed.No complaints at all

This cuts the 7x19 ropes right through, and clean too. The ropes are approximately 5/64" and it did not even fray the rope. A++ worth the money !

I used this cutter daily cutting 1/8 inch steel rope and after only 1 month of use, the cutters are now dull and cutting the wire rope is much more difficult. I don't recommend these.
