Samsung Rugby III SGH-A997- Unlocked Flip Phone

Works great! Don't need a smart phone. This does everything I need without the hassle of figuring out what I'm supposed to do next. The only way to fly!!!

I usually trust Amazon and its sellers. In this case I was cheated. Paying $54 for something maybe worth $5 that did not work. Went to several phone specialists for help and each told me it was junk and they did not even have a chip or battery to remedy the situation. Bottom line I was cheated out of more than $50 and am not pleased

So i got this phone for my friend. He is stuck in 1950 and has no clue about Smart Phones. He got burned buying cheap flip phones. Need to say this is an ATT phone. Some of the features are not available. He is on Consumer Cellular. Phone works great for his needs.

The phone is what I was looking for, for my husband to use, very simple for him to use, had Rugby II for 8 to 10 Years and very satisfied with it and how well it withstood the wear and tear my husband put it through, it was wore out and time to replace, if this new phone works and last as long will be very satisfied, time will tell. Rugby phone is durable. My only comment is that this was listed as new and it was in like new condition, but if it was new why did it come with 6-7 phone numbers in the address book already, if it was new and there was a green hand written label in back of phone under battery, no previous purchase of any cell phone did not come with this. Shipping was fast, overall satisfied with purchase, was able to use with AT&T.

It says it needs numbers, because it's not unlocked.

Rugby III is no different than Rugby II. Ring tones are not better. The apostrophe behind the # 1 takes eight clicks instead of four. Sim Card only carries over Address Book, not Calendar, not Notes; in fact Rug III doesn't have Notes - just Tasks, but added the Compass.On this purchase it takes me several attempts to capitalize a letter. I got battery charger but No Book. Well packed.The only reason I haven't returned the phone is because I can charge the battery without the Sim Card & pop it into my Rugby II - I prefer the Rugby II over the Rugby III.Next I'll be hunting for a Rugby IV. ..............If you have the Rugby II don't waste you money on the Rugby III.

My husband is really hard on phones. He has smashed the face on his last flip phone. We have Consumers Cellular and they didn't have a flip phone that wasn't flimsy. This Samsung flip looked like it would fit the bill. It has so far. I wish it would get better reception.

Phone had bad battery, package was otherwise as descibed and delivered on timeStarted refund process but decided to buy new battery and keep phone
