Callaway Men's Steelhead XR Fairway Wood

Replaced my 20 yr. old set with new equipment. With this fairway wood, I can grip it & rip it. Very forgiving, I get good distance even when hits are not perfect in the center of club face. I use it off the tee & I can hit the ball well on not-so-great fairway lies. Hits are much straighter without much effort. So far, hard to miss-hit this club. New Technology is definitely worth the investment, even though my swing speed has declined . I like the way this club feels all the way through my swing - perfect weight. There is very little jolt in my hands even after a towering, great hit.

I reluctantly bought this "used" club but I am absolutely delighted. Not only does it look brand new but it is well made and even makes my shots come out good. That is saying something as my golf game isn't the best. The club looks as good as it hits. Very happy with this purchase. I've used the club for several rounds and it is amazing.

This club is surprisingly easy to hit from all lies, but it has a very strong draw bias. If you tend to "hook" the ball, look elsewhere. When I got the club I was hooking it all the time and getting frustrated with it. But I took the time to figure out how to grip it to avoid hooking it and now I really like it. So, if you need a draw biased club, I do recommend it. If you don't, it might be a close call. My club did not arrive with a head cover but I called Callaway and they sent me one a few days later. Having said that, the head cover is the ugliest and worst I have ever seen, so if you don't get one, you are not missing much. I immediately put mine in a pile of stuff to donate to "Goodwill." The club, however, that one I am keeping in the bag.

I can not tell if this club has ever been used. Perfect condition. Came with head cover. Took it out and very easy to hit. Works great!

Callaway is a great brand! They have great new products and great past products. That said this club is a great example of past products camparing to new released. I have the newest driver with high end shaft. Pulled this 3 wood onto the tee and was amazed. It was hard to take that $525 of straight beauty and leave it off the tee for this amazing find. I have two now in that it was more cost efficient to buy this with extra stiff shaft than have the one i had done.

Update: Very late, but they did replace my 5w rather quickly even before I had sent the new one back. Anyways, I’ve played one season of golf with it and it is a great confidence booster club. When I’ve been unable to hit driver I’ve pushed this out pretty far being it’s a 5w. Great club for the price. Came damaged with a cracked shaft. Hoping to see a fast turnaround with a new club.. ;( I will change to 5 stars once I get a new one that’s not broken..

Love my throwback 3 wood

Ordered the 7 Wood and have been VERY pleased. Easy to hit for the tee or turf, excellent distance, accurate, and lands softly without too much runout. Works perfectly for this senior golfer. Definitely recommend.
