Update: after using this for almost a year, I have found that a nail drill is essential to speeding up the process of shaping the nails. Also, I’ve purchased another poly gel that lasts way longer so I think the longevity of the gel in this kit could be better. Since buying a nail drill, additional slip solution, poly gel, and gel nail polish, in the future I’d probably skip buying the kit and just buy the items I’ll actually use instead. But, still a good value!Original: After having tried this 3 times, I can say I love this product and will keep using it!There’s a definite learning curve. My first try didn’t turn out great and took me about 5 hours because of mistakes. Now, it takes me about 2.Definitely watch YouTube tutorials, but it also takes some getting the hang of. I’m still working on getting better at the nails looking completely clean and well-shaped.I’ve never had one break, but they do start falling off after about a week and a half. They’d probably last longer if I wore gloves washing the dishes and protected them in other ways, but I don’t mind it because I can get a few extra days out of them by reapplying with nail glue.I love that they don’t destroy my nails. They either fall off on their own or I can easily take them off by soaking in remover and scraping. My nails have new growth that looks healthy.For me, the most difficult and time consuming part is filing/shaping. I try to make them as perfect and thin as possible before I cure them, but there’s still always a lot of filing involved. My next purchase will be an electric filer which I think will cut my time in half.I’ve also had to keep in mind that I’m not a professional and this is not a professional product, so I can’t expect them to look like I had my nails professionally done. I’m fine with it because they look really nice and don’t chip, lasting way longer than a regular coat of nail polish.The kit itself has everything I could need and more. I’ve used the same tube of poly gel for all three sets of nails and it still isn’t empty, so I won’t need to restock for a long time.If you’re someone with some time on your hands, and wants to save some money skipping the salon, I highly recommend this!

I am new at doing poly gel nails and really anything more than press-ons. But I've spent a lot of time in the nail salon over the years and I've watched hours of YouTube tutorials. This kit is perfect for beginners who have the patience to practice and do research. The instructions for this kit are virtually non existent so don't expect to just open it up, squeeze it out, and voila! No no no. I went through some of the reviews and it's really kind of upsetting to see people complaining about things that had they done their research they would know it's user error. If you do not prepare the nails properly, you will have lifting or they will pop off. If you don't push back your cuticles or cover them up with poly gel, you could have an issue such as allergies etc. If you use too much slip solution (alcohol) the gel will be too thin and be subject to cracks or cause the nail to come off quickly. It's equally important to make it thick enough through the apex (the center of your nail) and thin near the cuticle and tip as well as along the sides of the nail bed-,the entire nail must be covered. It's always better to size up than down with the dual molds. You can always file off the excess. This is a very generous kit for the money! 12 glitter powder pots and two foil plus all the stickers and other things to design is great! Please please please! Do yourself a favor and watch YouTube before trying to do this yourself. Or TikTok. Just search poly gel with dual molds for beginners. No matter what, if you don't have or want to spend about 2 hours doing your nails, this isn't the dyi for you. As for me I'm very happy with it and already looking for more colors and extra bling!

This product was great. I genuinely enjoyed doing my nails with this product. You definitely need some prior experience of nails and LOTS of patience to get good final results. I spent a few months learning how to do it and I got a great technique, but the nails do NOT stick. I thought it may have been a problem with my nails since nail polish is also a struggle for me, but many others have came and done their nails with my kit and it does not last the day. User error may have been the issue but I feel as if the base coat is not strong enough to hold such a heavy product. I still use the extras for regular manicures and the lamp is amazing.Mixed reviews most definitely, but I still rate it very high just because of the price and how it includes everything needed.

This is my first time EVER doing my nails. This kit came with everything I needed besides a dapper dish to put the slip solution in. It does take a bit of practice. But I'm in LOVE. The colors are beautiful and the light works amazing. Little tip though- of after curing the nails are stilla but tacky - BUT Hard.. ITS OKAY!! but the top coat on and cure again like instructions state and that goes away. These nails are so tough I can even open my soda cans with them!! I found that if you dehydrate your nails with acetone nail polish remover and scuff them up a bit before you add the base coat, they stick excellent. Almost too good. Your going to be asking how do I get these off?! -Cotton balls soaked in 100% acetone nail polish remover btw - ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL Kit. Ive been able to do my nails 4x and still have polygel tubes I haven't opened yet!! WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!

We definitely needed to practise. Watched a lot of videos. Did better by the second hand lol. We found it easier to the gel on the finger the nail on top. We tried different ways. Gel is little sticky not sure if that is like all poly gel nails. But very happy with end results. Love that the kit had everything you needed to them.
