Easy take off and put on, just what I needed
I was thinking maybe it would have come in one piece but you had to put it together with no instructions. Had to see the photos in the item itself in order to make sure I did it right. Pieces feel solid and well built. Didn’t take long to put together. Downside of this L bracket is that it does cover up the battery compartment but like in the product photos I am sure that I can manage it to work fine with my canon M50. Works great on the tripod. It also does block my hdmi and a little bit of the WiFi button but it is all manageable. The hdmi section I don’t really ever use. It was the concern of the flip screen that I had and now I can add the l bracket to the opposite side without any worries. Like how I can get an extra grip too on the side and now the camera feels more sturdy in my hand. Didn’t want something too bulky so this should work just fine. A great purchase I would say.

Doesn't lock down unless you have screw type head
Main beef with this - some of my ballheads lock with a lever, not the screw in type. This is loose in that type of head - the first inexpensive camera/lens plate i have bought that is. Most fit fine, a few are tight - this is the first that is loose, making it useless unless you have the screw type of clamp. Another negative is the finish - it is like a flat metal, no coating finish. All others I have ever bought - les expensive to over expensive have had a semi-gloss to gloss coating applied after the machining of the plate. I won't buy from this maker again - returning this one. I use the kind of ballhead clamps for speed - been completely secure in over the decade I have been using them - can't risk a high $$ camera to a plate that isn't firm in the clamp. Too bad.

Great for the price!
I wanted an L-bracket for my Nikon D780, but the ones specific to this camera were unreasonably priced. This universal L-bracket is a very good alternative. I have to mount it with a lot of room between the left side of the camera and the bracket so I can fit my wired shutter release into its slot, but that's not bad. In reality, the extra space between the bracket and the camera is actually very convenient when I want to handhold the camera. The bracket is also easy to mount to the camera. (Some brackets require hex wrenches for mounting.) Very satisfied and saved a lot of money.

Doesn't work with Dolica tripod
Waste of time, I guess unless you have a $300-$400 tripod with an Arca Swiss bracket head. I was foolish to spend $120 on a Dolica who decide to make their plate totally incompatible with this L bracket. No worries- I find an adapter and invest another $25 in some stupid hunk of metal which makes it nearly impossible to transition from horizontal to vertical. I watch all the professional photography vlogers and they all claim an L bracket is a great investment that will make your photography so much easier- only if you have invested in an expensive tripod.

my first bracket
Remember this is my first bracket and I found it very useful. I found that when I first used it I covered the Battery compartment and the shutter cable release on my canon camera, but the speed to change the camera orientation out weighed these issues.

Essential for landscape photography
Whether pro or advanced amateur photographer, this is an essential component if you do much landscape photography. A real time saver when going to vertical from horizontal scenes and prevents the camera from slipping when in a vertical position.

Very tough and easy to mount on Tripod.
It gives my A7Riii a little ruggedness that I like. The construction of the rig is nice and sturdy. Would definitely recommend it. I also like the fact that I can mount the camera both vertically and horizontally on the tripod.

Game changer!
I struggled so many times when I went out shooting when I tried using my gfs tripod trying to get the camera from turning if I had it on portrait/sideways. Great quality and always in my camera bag now.
