Comparison with Promate Shamu
As others have already discussed, this is a great dive mask. It's comfortable and extremely low volume. I'll update my review after using it more extensively.I'm writing this to help those who are deciding between the Raven and Shamu, two similar masks by Promate. I own both masks, and while they're both extremely well made, I would recommend spending the small premium for the Raven, as it is an upgraded model. The Raven has a significantly larger glass, which equates to a larger field of view. It also has a quick-remove strap that snaps in securely and allows you to put it on without tearing out hair. The silicone seal is identical between the two, but the Raven has a thicker and wider strap.Raven DimensionGlass: 16.5cm at widest point, 9cm at tallest point, 2.5cm from nose to top (the gap above the nose), 7cm from top of nose 50° to top of eyes (Nasion to the eyebrow's end)Silicone seal: 5.5cm at widest point, 1-2cm average widthShamu DimensionsGlass: 15.5cm at widest point, 7cm at tallest point, 2cm from top of nose to top (the gap above the nose), 4cm from top of nose 50° to top of eyes (Nasion to the eyebrow's end)Silicone seal: exactly as the RavenAs is the case with all glass diving masks, both of these models had silicone lubricant present on the glass, which needs to be removed with toothpaste before diving (google the process). Fog will be a problem if you don't pre-treat them in this way.The silicone seal is identical on both. It's very soft and seals perfectly on me and my wife's faces. I do prefer my Raven's clear seal however, as it lets more light in and looks more modern.

Great Buy
Amazing Mask! If you are comparing other masks, look no further, because this is the one! We live in Hawaii and are surrounded with many snorkeling opportunities. For the longest time we were using our household's "community" masks. They were stretched, scratched, and mismatched. Finally I gave in and purchased my own mask (hands off). Once it arrived I couldn't wait to try it out. This mask offers wide view and a very comfortable fit. Without even putting the strap over my head and just placing the mask on my face I could feel an immediate seal. The snorkel is comfortable and the whistle is an added bonus, one i hope i'll never use. Upon using for the first time I was impressed by the clarity and it never ever leaked! I also defogged it with toothpaste (google it) and applied a little anti-fog and it never fogged during my hour long dive.My husband choose to purchase the "Phantom Scuba Diving Snorkeling Freedinving Mask Snorkel Set" which was $10 cheaper. He seems to like it but the mask's lens is smaller and the quality of materials does not compare. Bottom line, go with the Promate!

Must use jewelry polish to get rid of fogging
Love the low profile for river snorkeling in current. Minimizes face slap in the Rapids. Black silicon only way to go. Cuts out the glare on sunny days. Strap not bad. Does not pull the hair much like some rubber straps. Lens design is best ever. Provides full range of view. Only thing it was lacking was a purge valve so I added one since the fit was not ideal to my face and did get some small seepage. Beware, this mask fogs more than a Halloween fog machine. Had to get jewelry polish and scrub the heck out of the inside and outside of this lens like 5 times with a Brillo pad to finally end the fogging. Tooth paste won't cut it. The grit not heavy enough. I'm telling you the stuff they use to polish gold that's what you need to take that film off the glass or it will fog for ever. Had so many ruined snorkeling outings over fog until I finally cleaned it with jewelry polish followed up by defogging gel before every use.Update:. I've used this mask for a couple of seasons now and it has held up. It's not the most comfortable mask ever nor best sealing but it's good. It does leave an imprint on your face if worn for a long time. I usually wear it for 3-4 hours at a time.

Great mask & snorkel for a fantastic price
After about 15 - 20 snorkels, I can definitely say that this is the best mask and snorkel that I've ever used. Sure, I'm used to using cheap stuff, so that's not the highest praise imaginable, but I've still been very impressed with this purchase. I typically use Spit (commercial anti-fogging spray) with this and it stays fog-free for hours! If I remove the mask for long after an hour or two of snorkeling, I need to reapply the Spit to prevent fogging. The snorkel does an impressive job of both preventing water entry and clearing water from the snorkel (as long as the 1-way valve on the bottom of the snorkel is really the lowest point). The only (minor) complaint is that the snorkel is fairly large at the bottom (with the valve, whistle, etc), which is slightly annoying when swimming into a strong current because I need to bite the snorkel pretty hard to keep it from being swept out of my mouth.

Excellent Mask At A Good Price
I don't give 5 star reviews lightly, but this mask has really impressed me.-The skirt around the lens is comfortable even when worn for extended periods.-The low volume nature of this mask means that freediving is a little easier because you wont need to exhale as much out of your nose to equalize. Plus as far as swimming goes I think it's slim design has less water resistance than my last couple masks.-The fact that the glass is close to your eyes means better peripheral vision.-The strap is mounted on a nice swivel system and is comfortable and secure.-I gave the inside of my mask a good cleaning with toothpaste and then used baby shampoo for a defog solution and I have had no fogging at all.-This mask is currently the same price as some cheaply made US Divers masks I have bought in the past. At its currently price of $25 it is an absolute steal.Highly recommended
