Finnicky, Clever and Fun Little Dog
We loved this project/toy. I assembled it with my 4 and a half year old. But be forewarned, there are some very small pieces (as in the size of a grain of rice) and if you loose one, you will not be able to use the toy!The instructions were better than expected, but be prepared to pt your thinking caps on before you dive in and start putting the pieces together.To be clear, we did not entirely succeed on our first attempt. At first, we thought the dog just wasn't reacting to our move commands, but on disassembly a joint was not fully connected and the motor was trying to move a stuck limb which would have caused it to burn out eventually.But, it was all rewarding and worth it in the end, and since it's labelled a "STEM" I don't fault any of those "build" challenges. Once the robot was assembled, the kids were fascinated and still enjoy leading it around and watching it move.As an aside, I would give the designer one piece of feedback regarding the ears, which appeared as if they should be controlled by the motors but were not. Overall,I recommend this to others and have sent it as a gift to families with parents and kids who can handle the challenge of assembly and aren't frustrated by doing detailed tasks that require some effort and patience.

I bought this for my 6 year old son who loves to put things together. The directions are a little intense. With a little help we got it all together.

Great toy but bring your thinking cap and a little coffee 😉
It's a great product and fun dog however it is definitely a more complicated DIY. You need at least one adult to help put it together. I feel the age should be closer to nine or ten. The different labeled packages for each part of the set up is helpful. Do not open all the packages at once! Only open the area you are working on and finish that before starting the next section. I would recommend it as a good quality time project to do together.

Great gift
After asking for a puppy, I bought this for my 5 yr. old granddaughter for Christmas, she absolutely loves it! The leash and barking features satisfied her desire for a puppy. She walks it and carries it around like a real little pup.Five stars.

Lots of pieces
Purchased item because I thought it would be fun to actually assemble with my daughter. Well we couldn't get it assembled properly.I am sure for the people that were able to get it done it was good. But as for us, it wasnt.
