Game changer if you have both Starter & Lithium batteries
Game changer if you have both starter & lithium batteries. On our sailboat hooked this up, 8 month trip ran flawlessly. Changed starter batteries 2 100watt AMG’s, & then our 2 200watt lithium. Between the DC/DC & 500 watts solor ran the entire boat, including 12 volt fridge(55L) & freezer(35L). No generator, no shore power

UPDATED solution found: HELP!!!! NEED A PIN THAT WORKS
Update: I changed my stars I LOVE VICTRON DEVICES. I know own the battery shunt, Solar controller and DC to DC charger. Love them.RESETTING LOST PIN:If you need to reset your Victron devices, lost your pin, or whatever. Take a picture of the labels around the device before you install them and store it somewhere on a computer or phone for reference. There PIN and PUG is on the stickers.The PUG is use for resetting the PIN, its a security feature to allow only persons in physical proximity of the Victron device to reset the PIN, blocking everyone else.ORIGINAL MESSAGE: Will change my rating once I get a pin that works. Everything went well, but I am unable to enter the 000000 pin number it is asking for on initial setup. I got my phone as close as 6 inches to make sure bluetooth connects and when it ask for the pin, the same message pops back up again asking for the pin - endless loop.. Cannot get it to join the other two Victon products I own and have on my iPhone.

Works but has multiple issues, gets hot enough to start a fire
So as the title says, the biggest complaint is the temperature this gets. When running at full power, this thing will easily cause you severe burns. Im sure its capable of melting plastic, which I happen to have it mounted to a a plastic siding and smelled it gassing. I have found there are a couple ways to maybe control this. If you turn off the smart alternator setting and turn off the engine shutoff and turn off the hard cutoff for this, it will pull its maximum power from the alternator, which in my case was right at 410 watts. Also around 33.5 amps. Which is more than rated which is nice. However the downside, i have 2 #10 wires running to this, about 10 feet each way and it drops my voltage from 14v to 12.8 volts. Seems to be a little inefficient given the math for voltage drop, the step up converter is probably what is making all the heat at this point. If I re-enable the low voltage cutoff, and reenable the smart alternator setting, it will only pull closer to 300 watts, about 23 amps dropping the voltage to about 13.1v. Which is still more voltage drop than there should be given my pure copper dual #10 wiring. I tested this using only 1 set of #10 wires, and with the smart alternator enabled, i could only get 10-12 amps, no more than 168 watts. Im assuming that in smart alternator mode, it varies the current based on the voltage at the unit, which means that there is some incredible voltage drop at the unit. There is something definitely inefficient in the unit, and at this price point I figured I was getting something top of the line. This has to be why the unit creates so much heat. There should be an active cooler on this. Buyers should be aware of this fact. Otherwise, the item works great.

Poor Bluetooth Range
Horrible Bluetooth range. Do some Googling before you buy this. I have about 1m worth of range to this device. I installed it in my TV when I upgrade the battery system to lithium. I can connect when I stand right beside the camper, but have no connection inside the truck, which means I have no way to monitor it to see if the charge settings are even working. AND...And there is NO data logging without a Bluetooth connection, so I have no way to see if it worked afterward. I could try leaving my phone in the camper, but that kinda defeats the purpose of having Bluetooth in the first place.

Best Multi Profile Dual Battery Isolator Charger
The product worked great ,only issue I had was Bluetooth pairing connection kept disconnecting instead of working in the backgrounds. Made solid quality and design is worth the money for a dual battery isolator/charger.
