Q: Why is it the case that water leaks from the small hole every time you turn up the bottle?

There is a small hole on the top I to help with the suction of straw. You are not supposed to turn it up. You have to suck on the straw, pretty hard. It does take the chlorine taste out really well.

Q: Can I filter and use for hot water, normal filter says only for cold water?

The filter is attached to the straw. I'm not sure if there is a temp restriction for the filter functionally, but I personally wouldn't dring anything hot through the plastic straw.

Q: Is the bottle itself dishwasher safe?

Hi and thanks for asking! The BPA-Free Plastic models of our Premium Filtering Water Bottles are dishwasher safe in the top rack or can be washed by hand with a mild soap. Our Insulated Stainless Steel bottles should be hand-washed with mild soap (you can put the plastic lid in the dishwasher’s top rack or hand-wash).
