Fast! but came w/ bad part / customer service is great :)
This scooter is Fast ! It's not a 'toy' I'm 32 years old and I use it to get around town, instead of buying gasoline/insurance/car-repairs. The (new)scooter came with a bad part, but there is a 3 month warranty. I emailed customer service and they are Fed-Exing a new part. I did Not have to hassle with mailing the broken part back to Razor. :) The new part should be here in a few days; overall I'm pleased with the scooter...but I regret buying such a large product online...it would have been much easier to exchange the scooter to a local store. I have to say again, this scooter is FAST and the frame is strong. On a side note, I plan on using this scooter for years, replacing parts as needed, because the most expensive replacement part is approx $50. Most parts being $10-$15. Razor sells replacement parts on their website :) In my city, we're allowed to ride these scooters on the sidewalks, but you should check your local laws first. Most cities have their laws online :)

So far has delivered as advertised
I bought this for Xmas for my 9 yo daughter. Was some concern about freight company delivering it before Xmas, but after two phone calls, was take care of. I had to call when it arrived locally to arrange for delivery, have to be present. She loves it but has only been able to ride it twice. It was very easy to set up, only 20-30 minutes. It's a pain checking and filling the rear tire with air ... have to use an extender that is in the right handle grip, spin the back tire until the valve is aligned with a whole in the rear chain sprocket, thread extender through hole and twist the extender onto valve, then do your check and fill. The anti-skid decal on the foot board was peeling up, so I had to apply some super glue and hold down to ensure it didn't peel off. Did not have to adjust the brake. Biggest Con: The battery can not be left in freezing temperatures, and you can not remove battery from the sccoter. So, scooter has to come inside for the winter. This may be the reason that other reviews indicate battery failure, perhaps they didn't move indoors during winter. Just guessing. Anyway, scooter's sitting in dining room, and according to book, have to recharge every month when not in use. Daughter loves it.

Great Scooter
Great little scooter. Bought this for my daughter for Christmas and all is well. It holds the charge very well and moves along at a nice pace. A few of the features I liked best about this cooter are 1) larger tires- I noticed some of the others use a smaller wheel which to me means if they catch something with it they will flip it rather than run over it. 2) brake in the rear- this was a no brainer to me. Why won't the manufactures fix this in their other model lineups and move the brakes to the rear. When you hit the brakes hard on a scooter, bike, motorcycle...whatever and you are only stopping with front brakes...well we all know what happens at that point. 3)removable seat- for the price being so close why wouldn't you by this one over the one that does not have a seat. My daughter prefers it without the seat but there are times where I see her with it on. 4) sturdiness- most adults would be able to ride it. There is of course a longer lag time depending on the weight of the rider before you get up to speed.

Brand new and didn't work
We got this for our son's 9 year old birthday. We purchased it three weeks prior and charged it the night before his birthday. We charged it fully for over 18 hours and when my husband tried to get it to work on the day of our son's birthday; it wouldn't work. He called Razor and spoke to someone who asked him a lot of questions and then replied she knew what the problem was. She said these Razors can't sit very long unused or they go bad. Can you believe that? We had only waited three weeks....she says sometimes they sit on the shelves too long in the warehouse. She said we should have opened it right away and charged it when we got it (no warning on the box regarding this). She said she would send replacement parts but first we would have to show our receipt by long distance fax (we don't even have long distance on our phone and who wants to pay the charge for THEIR problem). However, she could tell my husband was very frustrated to know now he had to disappoint our son in giving him a gift he wanted that did not work, so she said she would send the parts out and we should get them in 5-7 days. My husband asked for a manager to call him.(We are waiting to hear from one). I still can't believe they can make a product that if it sits for too long on a shelf that it won't work! What about people who buy this for a Christmas present for their kids and their kids can't use it until it's nice enough weather etc...? Just doesn't make sense!

Poor packaging and slightly damaged.
The package came pretty well beat up, so I was a bit worried if anything inside was damaged, or worse missing. Upon opening the package, it seemed everything was there. However, I did see some damage to the back fender. It was scratched and seemed to show on the plastic that it was bent, since ht blue plastic was white (lines on both side, seeming to indicate a vertical line where the plastic was bent). While this is not enough to have the scooter returned. I am not happy that I purchased a brand new scooter that has cosmetic damage. I left this same review in the packaging review as part of the feedback, the day after I received this product. I also included several pictures. I never received feedback. As for the scooter, my 11year old daughter loves it. The scooter seems well built and easy to assemble. Also, several other family members and friends have taken it for a test ride and it held up well.

Bang For Buck
This product was as advertised and is a good value. I got it for my son for his 10th birthday. Of course after setting it up and charging it I had to ride it myself. I am about 215 lbs fully dressed and it moved me along. I got the best results by pushing off and then twisting the throttle. At my weight of course hills are not an option but its not designed for that. My son zips along and gets just about 55 mins of riding time per charge. I might get the larger eco Zip for myself
