We have treated city water in our home. cloudy, with a strong chlorine taste. I purchased the Culligan RFC-BBSA filter and container product in 2013. I installed the filter on our Kitchen cold water supply. The installation was tricky because of the reduction in the pipe sizes but it works well and has worked well for the past 6 years. No other water is filtered in the home because we rarely drink the water from other taps such as bathroom sink or shower. The filter has provided great tasting filtered cold water for our drinking, coffee, and cooking. It made the difference. The filter performed very well giving us gallons of clean and tasty water. Recently, I noted the return of the chlorine taste. The water remains clear but the chlorine taste is present. So it is time to change the filter. I am familiar with Culligan's industrial water treatment applications. Thanks Culligan you have helped us.

Does a great job freshening the water taste

The filter does a great job with preventing scale buildup, we noticed a significant difference after we tried a different filter.Only problem I have is the filter has fairly low flow rate (3GPM), and it does seem to plug up fairly quick. The pressure drop is very noticeable when the filter starts to plug.Would highly recommend installing a flushable spin down filter upstream of this to prolong the lifespan as much as possible.

Using this with Culligan HD-950A 1-Inch Outlet/Inlet Heavy Duty Sediment Water Filter Housing, Opaque (see my ***** star review on that product). I took off one star only because of the high price. I have some sand in my water system coming from my 365' deep well and this solves the problem. I change it about every 3-4 months or when I notice the pressure dropping in the faucets. Since all my pipes are copper I did put a grounding jumper across the filter for safety and to stop any audio hum in my sound system.10/5/2015 UPDATE EDIT: Been using these for over 4 years now and they work well. Lately my deep well seems to be picking up more and more sediment and the outside sprinklers are getting the wire filters clogged up. Since my AC is a water to air unit a lot of water goes through to the 3 acres of water sprinklers so I'm adding a 50 size filter at the well since this filter only does the inside house water. Hopefully this will also extend the life of the inside house filter. I'm so pleased I raised the rating to 5 stars despite the price.

We live in Florida and have a well, so the water smells like sulfur. We change these filters every 2 weeks and it has helped a lot!

Although a little more expensive than others, these are the BEST filters. Works perfectly!!!!Will continue to highly recommend and use!!
