Good alkaline replacement
I've replaced all alkaline batteries in everything I own with Eneloop NiMH for AA and AAA, and these for 9v rectangular batteries -- no more leaks. These hold their charge very well so they're suitable even for devices that you use only very occasionally, and their capacity is comparable to an alkaline battery. I've been using them for some time and haven't had one fail yet.

Rounded edges, like traditional alkaline
I'm intrigued by lithium primary batteries, for devices where you change batteries yearly or even less often. There's much less risk of a leaking battery damaging the device, than with an alkaline. (If you change the battery more often, you may want a rechargeable. But rechargeables have some self-discharge, so they don't last as long in very-long-battery-life devices, like remote controls, or sporadically used tools.)I was intrigued enough to buy an Energizer Ultimate Lithium 9v when I saw it at my local drug store, even though it was over $20 USD for one, which is not economical. But there are a surprising number of devices where it just doesn't quite fit! And it's because it's boxy, with sharp corners. Often 9v battery compartments have at least 1 slightly rounded edge, and the sharp edges of the Energizer means it's pushed a half millimeter too far away from that edge, and it's uncomfortably tight, and stressing/bulging plastic doors or clips etc. This product, the Tenergy 9v Lithium, is described as being slightly small so to fit better, and the edges look rounded. Also it's much more reasonably priced. So how is it? It's better! Still a slightly tight fit in some devices, but significantly better. I got out a digital caliper to try to confirm the cause. The LxWxH of this Tenergy is actually not smaller than the Energizer Lithium, it's 0.1 to 0.2 mm larger, but so is a energizer Alkaline. But the max diagonal length, as suspected, is 0.7 mm less on the Tenergy than the Energizer Lithium, because of those rounded edges. An energizer alkaline is another 0.7 mm less diagonal than the Tenergy, I guess alkaline is even more rounded still. Both of the Tenergy Lithium batteries I received provide 9.5V with a 17 mA current draw (9.7V unloaded). So far looking great, long term we'll have to see. For the better fit and better price, I really like these.

Excellent for smoke alarms and telecom test tools
I manage an access control system and occasionally may need to tone out a set of wires to find if there's a break in the line, or to find out if a card reader is plugged in to the right input on a serial IO board. Sometimes that use is infrequent, so I like the assurance that the battery will be OK after years of inactivity, both from a voltage standpoint and a "did it LEAK?" standpoint. Also, they're marginally lighter than an alkaline battery. This will add up, for example, a tone generator/probe set would use two 9V batteries, so the weight savings is there, even if not quite *noticeable*.

They work well
These batteries work perfectly in my smoke detectors. They have a good long lifespan. They appear to be very good quality. However, I think that charging $45 for a pack of eight batteries is overpriced.
