The cushion looks thick, is it really that fluffy?

I must praise the bed house cushion, cause my cat likes to lie on it.

What materials make up this unit. I understand the Sherpa of the cushions is polyester?

The sides are a somewhat hard fabric with a place on one side for cats to scratch it looks like a medium gray jersey but it’s harder. The top has a nicely cushioned carpet like fabric that my cats love to lay on. The inside has the same cushioned carpet. All four of my cats really like it. The sides are hard so it sits up nicely and I feel like it fits in my decor.

I just got the house for my cats and they love it so far but it does have a smell, what do I need to do to make that go away?

We put ours by a west facing window and let the sun warm it. That seemed to help. I bet washing the soft interior cushion would help too.

Can this be used for outdoors in a covered area where it wouldn't get rained on?

Yes it can, it is sturdy enough. The only problem is that it needs to have another exit door. If a cat or kitten is in the shelter and a preditor is able to enter it there is no escape route to get out. A fox or racoon will kill a cat, and especially a nursing kitten if hungry enough. They smell the milk. If this house is in a secured area then its fine. Like a closed garage or porch.

Excellent value for a collapsible pet bed!

I was initially a little wary at how sturdy a foldable cat cave would be, but it's held up very well, and my kitten absolutely loves it! I actually really love how it's collapsible, since I have a small apartment, and I like to switch out cat furniture every once in a while to provide a little extra enrichment.Both the top and bottom have soft floor inserts that can be removed for easy cleaning, which has come in very handy. There's plenty of room for another cat to come in and cuddle, which is what I was hoping the mama cat would do. No luck yet, but fingers crossed. Both cats are large breeds, and I wanted to make sure they had a bed that could accommodate them both once the kitten is grown. This absolutely fits the requirements. The fact that there are two doors is also very nice, because a cat can easily leave if the other cat is bothering them.There's been a small amount of pilling and fraying, but nothing I wouldn't expect from something loved by a very active kitten. Overall, I think this cave was pretty good value for the money I spent on it.

Awesome cat house!

I have an older cat and this house is perfect! Its easy for him to get into and the padding is soft and cozy. He loves to paw at the ball that hangs down. He hasn't jumped to the top, but I think thats due to his age. This house was easy to assemble, came quickly, and very well priced! I also love that the inside padding can easily be removed for easy cleaning! This cat house serves its purpose well and I highly recommend this product!

Almost perfect design

This is a cozy cat house with easy entry and ext points. The only drawback is the roof is not removable if you need to lift your cat out of the house. There is a removable pad on the roof but it sits on a fabric roof which is sewn completely sround all the sides. If my elderly cat is unable to get out I will need to cut the roof. For younger healthy cats this should not be an issue. It is a comfortable size

my cat loves it!!!

my cat really doesn’t like cat towers or any of that stuff but the second i brought this out of the box she started exploring and fell asleep in it. even though it’s foldable it’s still very sturdy and she loves the little balls on the doorways. i highly recommend it if your cat loves going in little hiding places.
