Never owned a sake set before so nothing to compare it to, but it cleans up well, looks great, and...holds the sake...good? It seems to do well with keeping the sake hot with the candle lit and hot water in the tub, but don't expect the tea candle to be able to heat up cold water and cold sake on its own. It comes in a soft case with foam cutouts for all of the pieces. This is a pretty great set! As an aside, the two bottles in the picture are sake that is best served cold (eww, right?) but the white bottle is some of the best I've had...and the set makes it easy to consume!

I bought this for my fiance, coz he loves hot sake. I bought this thinking that it will take forever to heat up. Nope! It heats up fast. I did use hot water into the bowl, so that gave it a great start.

You need to fill it with hot water and use 3 candles to heat your sake. But if you enjoy hot sake, it's TOTALLY worth it!

Great product all around, the green in the cups is an excellent highlight. The wooden board is a little cheap; the furls were carved by hand and are a bit sloppy.
