Saris Thelma 3 Bike Universal Hitch Rack

3 bike carrier, the best in the market, well built, easy to set up. it holds them very firmly and don`t damage the frames.Even though is has 2 settings, for 26 and 29 inch wheels, it holds my 27.5 inch whells MTB perfectly. BUY BUY BUYUPDATE: Not very stable on long trips and bumpy roads...... i had to add a rope so I could stabilize the bikes...

Some reviewers did not care for this rack, but I honestly can't see why.We took it on a 600+ mile trip recently (on many crappy, beat up spring roads) and it was great! Bikes don't rub or move and are super well supported by their wheels. Nothing came loose!The instructions are pictographs, so pay close attention to what you are doing! Plan about an hour to put it together. I would suggest not trying to assemble it outside...unless you enjoy looking for a dropped screw or nut in the grass!All in all a great rack!

This rack is extremely well built and very easy to use. My wife and I were tired of using a rack that the bikes hang off of because we had to pad the bikes to keep them from damaging each other every time we used the rack. Not fun. This rack prevents that by locking the bikes in place with virtually no movement and certainly no contact between bikes. Easy on and easy off the car and easy to fold it down(without bikes on it) to access our rear hatch. I would highly recommend the rack!

Amazing bike rack! We bought 3 new bikes and at first the salesman wanted to put us in a Yakima Ridgeback 4-bike rack. We thought the Yakima was completely unacceptable because the bikes all touched each other. They were also difficult to get into the rack due to the angled top bars on all our bikes, even with the add-on rack bar. So I looked this rack up on Amazon and ordered it on the spot.This Thelma bike rack is THE PERFECT hitch mounted bike rack for 3 bikes! The bikes DO NOT touch each other at all, so no pinched cables, no pedals embedded in spokes, etc. It is extremely stable on our Lexus RX 350 on the highway and in turns. I love the fact that it folds up when not being used. Get this bike rack and you will be happy. I will be adding one extra strap on each wheel just for extra assurance of not loosing a bike, but it is quite stable as it is. It takes me about 20 seconds to physically install each bike - it is so SIMPLE!!Improvements - well, I really liked the way the Yakima had the twist lock feature to secure it into the hitch. This Saris requires that you use a socket to tighten it. When folded up the large plastic wheel supports rattle against the car, which I fixed with a bungee cord - ideally they should lock in the stored position. They rack would also benefit from an integrated locking mechanism. Overall, this rack was actually less money than the Yakima because the Yakima required us to buy three cross bars, which I thought were clunky at best. And I think the rack should have two tie downs on each wheel instead of one. These are all nit pick things considering price and superb function. Also, for larger families, they really should make a 4 bike version of this rack. BUY IT.

Best solution for safely and easily transporting up to 3 bicycles without wear and tear on the painted surfaces of your car or bicycles. We shopped hard for this. It's the best and easy to use.
