Bought this ssd a while back as needed something as a backup drive, have to say this thing is rapid. Blink and you'll miss the window actually load your data. Used mostly as storage for games, professional film and photo for my business and has never skipped a beat. Snap these up on prime day or when theyre on sale for an especially good deal. They're a quality drive with good build quality, great storage options, pretty universal fit and compatibility, and overall a great buy in terms of value for money. Its this or Samsungs own for me, nothing else!

I bought this when it was on sale on Prime day. Working well so far, fast read and write speed, gets hot but make sure you put heatsink on it. I used it in the USB C Sleeve and cloned my windows on it. It has plenty of storage

Purchased this item along with a heat sink to install in the Ps5 in 2021 and it works perfectly well, it was very easy to fit took approximately 1/2 hr. Would highly recommend. As this was some time ago most of the range has been updated but as far as this goes it is excellent

I bought this to upgrade my new laptop. Spent a bit of time researching drives and this one came up above all the others, when looking at speed, price, size, and reliability. It is always difficult to look at specs for these because only experience using it can give you a real feel for it. So you need to rely on manufacturer's info and reviews. Using it now for two months and it works great. Fitted right in on my HP elitebook laptop, but for sure it will be compatible with others. Quite fast, and as far as I can see runs really cool even when I'm running simulations on Matlab. It double my storage which is perfect for me at the moment. In my opinion this is excellent value for money and I would recommend it, if you are upgrading your machine or getting a gaming machine built.

All round, this is a fantastic M.2 SSD, provides enough storage space whilst being reasonably priced considering it is a Gen 4 drive. Easy to install, simply line up the slot and insert, screw and you're off to the races. I chose to have a fresh install of Windows, and it is blisteringly fast. It is important to note to take full advantage of the drive, a motherboard with 4.0 slots must be used, this enables the full theoretical speed of 7000MB/s. In conclusion, for the amount I paid, I am happy.

Nice and easy to install - Ensure you buy a seperate compatible heatsink, this involves adding thermal paste strips on either side of this drive, and encasing within the heatsink. Use Youtube vids if in doubt. - pop off one side plate off the PS5 - locate the m2 plate which has a small PS logo screw to undo, remove silver plate - inside is a retainer screw, remove as this is needed to hold down the m2 drive which is smaller in length than where the retainer screw is currently. - slide drive into the m2 slot, screw down with previously mentioned retainer screw. - all done, just a case of fitting the silver plate, and side of Ps5 clicked into place Upon startup you'll be asked to format the new drive, done.

Picked this up to go with QIVYNSRY M2 heatsink nvme 2280. I managed to pick up cheaper without a heat sink and who knows when heat sink version will be in stock. Im not into modding, or technical stuff, but it was pretty simple to attach the heatsink. The sizing of this particular heatsink is a tiny bit off - a little too big, so you need to make sure you position the surplus to the screw in end, so you’re not covering up the connection point. One minor thing to note for anyone installing - when you plug the SSD into the ps5, it sits at an angle. You need to remove the little nut screw from the ps5 and sit the SsD on it before screwing. It’ll make sense when you do it, just saying not to panic. Oh yeah, everything fit, closed, and seems to be working fine, so no issues here. You won’t regret having the extra space on your ps5. This drive is seamless.

Bought for PS5 internal storage extension. Compared with Samsung 980 Pro, this was a couple of hundreds cheaper and was higher rated and recommended in several online reviews on PS5 / gaming review websites. The Sept 2021 firmware update of PS5 is must for using the M.2 Storage. PS5 requires the M.2 storage to have speed above 5500 mbps. Received the package on time, sealed original box. The box contains only the chip and product litrature. Sony recommeds using a heatsink. I went with Jonsbo heatsink (silver grey or black). The combo meets the size requirements of PS5. Fitting the chip to PS5 was easy and is shown in several videos on Internet. The holding screw and placer are already given in PS5. Only thing to be careful about is that placer should also be moved in correct hole before putting in the screw. I missed that first time but thankfully realised it before powering on, and had to open the PS5 console again to fix it. Remember to ground yourself properly before handling the chip. If you're not comfortable doing it yourself, better seek help of a friend who knows his ways around computer parts. On switching on the PS5, it automatically detected the chip storage and gave option to format it. For first time installation, you must format the storage in PS5. It also detected the speed as 6655 mbps, which is almost the rating of the chip (7000 mbps). The size is detected as 1.01TB and shows full 1TB as available out of which some space is taken by PS5 system files. PS5 moved 3 games and 2 apps totalling 260 GB in under 2 minutes to the chip. The games start from the chip (shown as 'M.2 SSD Storage' in PS5 settings) and there isn't any noticeable lag/latency compared to inbuilt storage. So far PS5 treats internal storage and M.2 SSD as two different storages, so one has to decide to store which game where. PS5 has option to set the M.2 SSD as default storage for games & apps. There are separate options for PS5 and PS4 games. I plan to use the M.2 SSD as default as all games can be played directly from there as well, no need to transfer games to inbuilt storage. I anyway delete games that I've finished and don't plan on playing again. With FTTH broadband at home, re-download isn't a big problem. 1TB+667GB should be sufficient for about 10-15 games that I keep around in console. With talks that newer PS5 games will be smaller in size due to better compression, maybe togather it'll be good for 25+ games each averaging about 60GB. Overall, very satisfied with purchase and happy that my PS5 will hopefully not run out of game space now.
