Beyond Fear: A Toltec Guide to Freedom and Joy: The Teachings of Don Miguel Ruiz

AWESOME!!!!! Mary has such a beautiful way of extemporizing on the points Don Miguel makes and clarifying and distilling his knowledge into everyday language... Like Don Miguel she is great at this, and I really like that the book is written in an interview format with her asking questions and DOn Migel answering them so you can clearly see his thoughts and her own side by side!!! She is a talented writer and her gentle and compassionate energy permeates every page!

I read Don Miguel Ruiz books (and his family's books) every single day. In the work week, I read my book when the sun is rising to clear my mind and keep me grounded. On my lunch break, I read my book to keep my mind quiet. I do not read at night because I'm usually home at six, I watch some of Dr. Robert Morse on YouTube (please check him out, he changed my life by giving me the tools to regain my health!) and lights out at 8:30pm or so. I get up at 5am...Don't judge me. :) I also recommend subscribing to his website for daily inspiration emails... Wonderful discovery. I am so thankful for Don Miguel Ruiz and his family.

This book is amazing. It has me rethinking the way I believe. It also has excerpts from other authors that I will now go read. I highly recommend this book if you want to learn more about fear. Miguel Ruiz is by far my favorite author.

Not for the faint hearted, this material by Don Miguel Ruiz and Mary Carroll Nelson explain just how responsible we all are, for the quality of the "dream" we create with our thoughts & emotions daily. As energy flows between our internal "Judge" and "Victim" the impact of our domestication into powerlessness opens the door for tremendous fear to control our lives. Its only when we allow our false selves to die do we release our attachments to control and always being right."Beyond Fear" is packed full of invaluable insights and knowledge about how to address the global nightmare by dreaming our own authentic dream powered by self-love.Don Miguel Ruiz is well known for his Four Agreements material, and I was concerned "Beyond Fear" may simply replicate this, but it doesn't. It provides both new material, and more in-depth discussion of how aspects of the four agreements interconnect to other Toltec knowledge. The use of Mary Carroll Nelson to transcribe the text, and add in bits of her own, could have backfired, but instead provides a unique flavour and at times you feel like you're part of a conversation. Inclusion within story telling is a useful gift.I got a lot out of this book, and I don't know much about the Toltec's, so I'm sure others will too. I especially liked the discussion of the Mitote (illusion), and the idea of humanity being the emotional organ of the planet, and how we transform etheric energy between matter and emotions.Will definitely get you thinking!

Absolutely love this book. The book has some amazing information and truths. I highly recommend this book but reading The 4 Agreements first would give you the terms used in the book. Can't go wrong with this book or any of the Toltec series!!

Wonderfull. very usefull

If you want to go deeper into DMR's Toltec philosophy then this is the one. It is more challenging than the more recent works, but if you are sold on those and can handle more advanced reading on the subject then this is well worth getting. From reading this, you can see the source of the later, more reader-friendly works, but don't let that put you off giving this one a go.
