I have 4 indoor/outdoor cats. I can't feed them outside due to possums and armadillos eating their food. I got tired of filling up a 1lb cat feeder.The husband mentioned this feeder.After measuring for the location I realized it would actually work.I ordered the 50lb feeder, I had concerns about the door but we had plans to remove it.When the feeder arrived it was already together and ready for use. The material is thin sheet metal and prone to damage if the person shipping it doesn't take care. Mine has a small blemish but doesn't affect the use.I realized I didn't need to remove the door since it's metal. I used 2 magnets to hold the door open and after 1 day the cats were used to it and back to eating like a pack of dogs.

I use this for my cats and it has made life so much easier. My cats refuse to open the door so I prop it open. I thought they'd eventually open it when they got hungry enough but they literally starved before they would open it so I propped it for them. A magnet would be perfect. My only complaint is I wish the lid for filling opened the other direction. It opens away from the back so you have to wedge a big heavy bag between the lid and the wall. Plus, it makes checking the food level more difficult. Other than that it's perfect!

great for outdoor dogs. really holds 50lbs. just wish the dogs were smart enough to figure it out.

We love it for our big german sheppard who would knock out all the other feeders. The only thing that we didn't like is that it came little bit damaged but we didn't want to make too much fuss about it nor return it (mechanism worked just fine). I would give 5 stars if the maker packaged the feeder better instead distributing in a box without any padding. Fedex guys were rough on this package....

Good size for my big dog, It holds enough feed to last for about 1-11/2 weeks before needing to be refilled.I've been using for well over a year now and it's still in very good shape.Love the fact that it's US made!Super easy to fill,and clean out if necessary Great price point, would definitely purchase again.

I had two dogs, an American Bully and Shih Tzu they both got a long until o bought this product. For the first 3 days I taught them how they work and which was there’s , but every single time I went out to give them water they always got in a fight because of the food yes the water retention, easy clean, value of money is amazing and also it’s super easy to use and functionally is impeccable but believe or not this product ended the life’s of one of my dogs , so if you’re looking forward to buy this product you HAVE TO TRAIN YOURE DOGS TO NOT FIGHT, and I don’t blame the company nor the product I blame myself for not training them properly enough so take my word and train them properly please.
