I'm not a newbie to audio things just the software that comes with this mic. Normally I just plug a mic it and go before this mic I was using a blue yeti for years then I wanted to try a newer mic. I think my blue yeti is four or 5 years old so it was time to get a newer on. I seen this on a YouTube review by senpai gaming. I don't normally buy things YouTubers review but after watching his review and then looking in to the mic more and other reviews from people that got the mic. I got the mic and works great I'm still messing with setting and what not. I don't talk that loud and it picks me up as long as I have the mic where it's supposed to be. As for the software that comes with it. It's not that hard to use or figure out if you get stumped there are alot of YouTube setup guides to make it easier. Worth the money and not you can add voice mods to the software to tweak your voice more.

This microphone is amazing for overall use, video calls, gaming, zoom meetings whatever you want to use it for it. Does it really well and very reliably. The software is very easy to handle and is very useful when tweaking the sound and it makes it sound more like $150- $200 microphone it comes with its own pop filter, so the plosives aren't overdone when pronouncing words with (p) in them. It's very worth it for the price and I definitely recommend it for a first studio-quality microphone.

I previously was using a Blue Yeti mic which I loved. I purchased the wave:1 primarily to get the WaveLink software which greatly simplified my OBS -> Zoom configuration. I was able to get all my sound sources out of OBS and into Zoom without having to use virtual cables or voicemeeter. I can't say enough about WaveLink. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the Wave:1 microphone itself performed as well and maybe even better than the Blue Yeti, so this was a win - win for me. I discovered several videos on YouTube made by AWALL that went over everything you could possibly want to know about getting everything up and running flawlessly. Elgato hit it out of the park with this one. As with everything Elgato produces, this mic does everything it claims to do. No brainer. If you buy this, you will not be sorry.One last thing, I decided on the Wave:1 over the Wave:3 because I really didn't need the extra features of the Wave:3. Virtually everything that the Wave:3 adds, can be done using the included WaveLink software.

Whether you want to amazing quality voice recording for YouTube, Streaming, or even just Discord Calls with your friends, this is a good product to do just that.It's very plug in play, and easy to get running with an easy install of their microphone program (Elgato Wave Link) that will launch immediately when you plug in the microphone.CONS:Despite the microphone being decent out of the box, to get the full value of it's sound range, audio enthusiast will later find they will have to install quite of bit of compressors and Virtual Studio Technologies (VSTs) to make the microphone sound more natural and crisper. Luckily, Elgato's Official YouTube Channel has many tutorials and recommendations for how to install and tweak these settings!THE VERDICT:For the price, there is very few options for this level of quality in a USB Condenser Microphone that can compete with it. This mic was recommended to me by a friend, and I'm quite happy with it. You run it with the Elgato Wave Link app, and it works really great. It's clear, has background noise cancellation (w/ the help of the app), and it does the job really well. When I get asked what mic I use for my streams, I proudly tell them about my Elgato mic. It's also cost efficient, so it's great for streamers that are just starting out. I definitely recommend this mic!

This mic is a great option for those looking for a good mic for talking/gaming/streaming. The build is very solid and the sound quality is great and clear. One amazing thing that comes with this mic is the software. It allows you to route the programs on your PC to different channels so you can manage what you hear and what your stream/others hear. The program also supports VST plugins so you're able to add extras such as noise gates and compressors to really take your sound quality to the next level.In terms of hardware, there is only one physical knob dial that you can press and turn. Pressing the knob will mute and unmute the mic while the dial can be set to adjust the input/output level. This is very handy. Overall, I highly recommend this mic over some similarly priced mics.

Love it, the sound is perfect, is the best microphone I ever got

I use this mic for work calls and podcasts. It is awesome and sounds like a more expensive mic. The Wave Link software is also incredibly versatile. I use it to add several plugins to my mic to make my voice sound better, and I can also directly monitor my own voice in my headphones.
