Superb product, effective use of an efficient product.
Never before have I experienced such an effective product. Initial startup to cooking temperatures responsive as never before. A perfect piece of equipment it would seem. A perfect match DESIGNED to work together.

A well made pot with amazing efficiency.
I am the Scoutmaster of a Boy Scout Troop, and I was looking for a more effective means to cook group meals while on backpacking trips than our standard aluminum pots. The JetBoil 5L pot is just the thing! It boils water in a fraction of the time it takes in a standard pot, with commensurate savings in fuel usage. It is sturdy and well made, and quite lightweight too. The plastic lid doubles as a strainer, which is handy for a Boy Scout outing, as the scout cooks nearly always have pasta on the menu. (The lid is obviously plastic, so should equally obviously not be used on a cast iron fry pan, as one reviewer complains about.) I've bought four of these things so far. They are pricey, but all the adult leaders were unanimous in favor of buying more after seeing one in action. We use the JetBoil 5L pot with our MSR Dragonfly liquid fuel stoves. By fortunate coincidence, the legs of the Dragonfly fit perfectly inside the flux ring of the JetBoil pot, forming a very stable support and extremely efficient heat transfer. It also works with MSR Whisperlite stoves, although it is not quite as easily to center the pot on the stove as it is with the Dragonfly. The MSR stoves are better stoves for group backpacking trips than the Genesis stoves, in my opinion, and besides, we already own them. The pot is nicely anodized, but is not non-stick, so keep an eye on the cook to make sure they don't burn the chili, because it does not come off easily!

Huge. Glamping / base camp only.
Unless you need a helmet, this thing stays near ground transportation with the inflatable couches and the bell tent. That said, it's a monster of efficiency and makes for a very effective community pot for chili, fish chowder, etc. When combined with the Base Camp stove, this is an outstanding pot for efficiently feeding the masses. One small nitpick - any spills or drips caused by people ladling food out into bowls tends to get stuck in the metal folds and lower baffle, making this hard to clean unless you have an equally outsized camp sink or a nearby stream.

Expensive but worth it
Extremely nice pot, boils water very fast and locks to the genesis burner system. Not at all necessary for camping, but is a step above the cheaper versions.

Great for the camp stove and firepit
Would rate this a 5 star if not for the flimsy plastic lid. It works well and has strainer holes that are great but it is thin plastic and I don't expect it to last long. Hoping for the best though.
