I have a GMC 3500HD that I use to pull a 43' 5th Wheel camper. The fenders on the Dully make it difficult to reach the 5th wheel hitch to connect/disconnect the kingpin. Regular ladders don't work, I have a small pull-out side-step that doesn't work, etc. Hitching and unhitching has been a pain to say the least. This step works perfectly. Out of the box it fit over the outside dually tire. No adjustments were needed. I was surprised at how easy it was to use this step and reach the hitch levers and locking pins without having to touch the side of the truck. The build quality is excellent as well. It has good traction that makes it safe to use in bad weather and it folds up in seconds making it easy to store in the bed of the truck when not in use. The only thing to keep in mind is that when using it to hitch a trailer, you have to remember to take it off of the wheel. It goes on so easy, I could see someone in a hurry pulling away without removing it. I think a pull-away issue is less likely to happen when using the step to service the engine since tools and other stuff has to be put away when the project is done. The mechanic's focus is on the truck. When preparing to depart with a camper there are a lot of back and fourth tasks that need to be completed. The step is made out of steel. It would cause serious damage to the truck body if someone was to move while it was on the tire. Hopefully this isn't a problem and everyone remembers, but I would recommend creating a checklist or something that reminds the driver to verify the tire step is stowed. You cannot go wrong with this step no matter what your use case is. The build quality is excellent. It is sturdy, the steps have fantastic traction, and it installs and folds down in seconds.

Well I am 5’5 and own a diesel truck and these are AWESOME for a shorter person like myself! They are sturdy and I am a little on the heavier side at 204. Well constructed and no assembly. Take them out of the box and ready to use! I bought one for each side so I didn’t have to move them if I needed to work on the driver and passenger side. They also work for the rear too if you need to get up a little higher. If you are not that tall, BUY THESE. You wont regret it. Well built, nice paint and finish, and they are very competitively priced.

It's pretty cool. Heavy duty. I like it a lot but there was a couple of pins missing. I guess I can find some pins around the farm here to put in there. That kind of sucks too I put put punchers in place to hold it so I can find some matching pins I guess man.

Works great for working on lifted vehicles or just to get a better angle when reaching into engine bay. Very sturdy.

I couldn’t reach the 5th wheel lever on my GMC duallie without rubbing the box side and potentially scratching it until I purchased the tire step. Now I don’t touch the box side at all. It’s very easy to put on the tire and remove. It takes up very little storage space.

This hangs over the front tire to get under the hood of a 4WD, or the back tire of a pick up of any size. It stays put & allows me to reach mid pick up bed easily. Great purchase & value for the money! I use it regularly. It fits nicely on over sized tires.

Husband loves this item. Sturdy and made with steel. Folds up nice and easy to store

I was going to make one of these, but decided to order this one and modify it for my needs. But it’s perfect the way it is. The only thing I’d add would be a carry bag for it, but that’s easy enough to source. The step itself is very well made, and the grate step with serrated surface is excellent.

Nice step...I can't reach the windshield of our truck to scrap in winter, so my husband bought me this so I could reach. Works great! Just remember to remove before driving away, lol.
