It's an investment, that works!!
Cross Core's War Machine is a suspension trainer with a twist. I'm 6'2 & 240 lbs so it'll hold you. The rotational wheel keeps your body honest. Your body will be force fed balance and symmetry. Yeah its a lil pricey, but the Trainer-In-Bag wasn't available yet. I also own a TRX; and I like that too. Hmm? If had to make a choice between the two. I'd chose the...the..War Machine. I like that wheel. Price justification: How much would "it" cost me, if I was fat and out of shape ?

Dissappointed
disappointed with this product. The packaging with signs of having been handled, was not new, it was probably part of a return. But the product was fine.

A TRX killer
I appreciate the option of having a pully system in addition to a static strap option like the trx. If you are designing a home gym, you can get by with just having this one piece of equipment as I have seen people saying you can do upwards of close to a thousand exercise variations and difficulty levels. And you should know this, rotational movements are the best for performing core exercises and this pully system allows for that.

pretty nifty contraption
Really great machine. Built well. Much impressed with Amazon customer service, for making it right. (Rapid response to a problem, with almost no hassle, 24hr delay) That said, can get a decent workout off the War Machine., easy setup, perfect for super sets. Little pricey, but worth it. Might consider the Crosscore 180 and save a couple of bucks. Essentially the same machine.

Superior Fitness Option
I purchased the product from the manufacturer's website with a military discount. The price was hefty, and I felt as though I was "going out on a limb." At the time I hadn't any experience with the Cross-core. It's expensive, and I don't have a lot of money to throw around (this is part of the reason for my investment in a suspension system). Initially, upon receiving the product I questioned its value, and my own judgment.Long story short, I love the product and am getting my money's worth. The versatility of the product (provided by the pulley) is superior to alternative suspension training options. The pulley allows me to use weights other than my body.I have yet to travel or deploy with the Cross-core. When I do, I do not foresee any problems. The entire package is light, and easy to set up.I installed the single point anchor to my ceiling at home. My wife is "ok" with its low profile. Setting up the cross core only takes a minute or so, it is small and I'm able to hide it when I'm not using it.The most common comparison, because it is the most widely known, is the TRX suspension system. The Cross-core blows the TRX out of the water with regard to variety. I strongly recommend the cross-core to anyone interested in suspension training, or maintaining a high level of personal fitness.

TRX.....Prepare for War!
While suspension trainers have been around for some time, it seems a new resurgence or marketing push has really made the TRX the top of the lot. I've worked with the TRX for years and after another has worn out I purchased the war machine. It's a little extra in price than the TRX, but definitely worth it in it's versatility and durability. You can tell from the handles, clips, and contruction that it's much stronger than the trx. Another major selling point of me personally is that it's made in the USA. I always try to seek out US made exercise products as they do tend to be better quality. There's simply more you can do with the war machine vs other suspension trainers. With the rotating wheel it opens up more doors for creativity. What I also love are the carabine clips that hold the handles. This allows further options in being able to switch attachments. In summary if you are investing in the BEST suspention trainer, the war machine is it. I also am a promoter of lifelines jungle gym in its simplicity.
