KidKraft Dinosaur Train Set and Table

I initially saw this table in a catalog and knew it would make the best Christmas gift for our almost 3 year-old son. I was very hesitant to order after reading so many negative reviews, but felt that I had a good handle on the design flaws of the toy and ideas of how to fix them. The table came and was easy to put together. It's very sturdy, which is a huge plus if you have a boy like mine. Per other reviewers' suggestions, we decided to glue the pieces down wherever possible (mostly so that we didn't have to reassemble the entire track 3 times a day...). I also stuffed a few pieces of felt around the track that goes through the bottom of the volcano to prevent cars from getting lost in there. That's all it took to make this a great toy. My son LOVES it. We have no complaints about it at all and know that it will be a favorite in our house for a long time!

We bought this for my 2.5 year old who loves trains. Unfortunately this table is not as great as I had hoped. The track hardly fits on the table. The volcano constantly falls apart or trains fall inside it and you have to pick up the entire track to get it out. The dinosaur "trains" that it comes with are junk and fall off the track easily. My son gets frustrated with this track constantly that we have ended up taking most of it apart. The whole table has just become a nuesence. Super disappointed and wish I could return it but assembly was so difficult and time consuming and it's so large returning it would be a huge hassle. So now I'm stuck with it..

The table looks amazing once it is done but very difficult to put together and the material is very cheap. My husband spent 2 hours drilling the tracks to the table because they would not stay together. After 2 days it is finally together and being played it. I would have paid an extra $50 to have to shipped already built

The train track is not attached to the table. Maybe I missed that, but I was expecting a little stouter track system. The pieces of track come apart very easily and can be frustrating. You can't get the table through a doorway so you have to dissemble the track to move it. the table itself is pretty stout and it came with lots of accessories. It's colorful and playful, but I wouldn't buy it again.

It's a big table with tons of accessories and a neat multi-level track. I'm very pleased by the quality for the price. Assembly was straightforward but did take a few hours. Train tracks come apart easily but I intend to glue them as suggested by others.

We bought this for our son's 2nd birthday and it's fantastic! We followed the advice of some other reviewers, we sealed the area of the volcano where toys could fall, we purchased and used the track lock clips, and we glued a few things together (tree, fire, houses) so they wouldn't fall apart every time our son played with them. We chose not to secure the entire track in place because we wanted to be able to move it around if needed. Our son, and his siblings, and his friends, have all loved this and it has held up to all of them. Don't be afraid of the negative reviews, we love it and have no complaints. This will be around for the grandkids someday!😉

I was a nervous wreck up to my kid getting this for Christmas after reading all the reviews. It seemed people either loved it or hated it...I mean hated it.I read up on the reviews/questions and did what others suggested by glueing the track down and haven't had a problem with it at all. My son, who is 7 loves it. He adds his own stuff to it, but has been playing with it all the time since he got it on Christmas.

Very disappointed with this train set... The center volcano didn't go together well and my son has never been able to push a train through. And the surface is already peeling at the center seam. The surface nicks very easily. This was expensive but not great quality.
